We were able to pick a couple of green pattypan squash this morning to put out. We like the baked with ground pork sausage mixed with rice. They are 2 for $1.00.
I know a lot of people don’t know what shish*to peppers are. The are mild, smokey and slightly sweet. We like to roast them, then add some kosher salt or some flakey finishing salt and eat them steak, cheese steaks or cheese and crackers. Reagan and Jack eat them raw.

Jack has been helping pollinate pumpkins and watermelons. We had a quick trading on identifying male and female flowers on the plants and different pollination methods. We also picked up apples that had fallen and cut them up to start a new batch of natural soluble fertilizer. SCIENCE!!

I just put the farm stand out. We have a few squash to start for $1.00 each. Later this afternoon or tomorrow morning I will be putting out radishes. Yes that’s right right. The farm stand that my daughter named “The Rowdy Radish” will actually have radishes this year. There is a cash slot on the stand along with a Venmo link for payment. I will put out what I have available and make posts about it. Here’s to another great year of sharing what we love with people.

I have decided to name this watermelon Thornton. On Thursday Thornton was a little smaller than a baseball. Friday it was a little smaller than a softball. Today Thornton is larger than a softball. The Thornton updates will continue until picked and eaten.

I have taken a picture of the same Blacktail Watermelon for the past four days. It has doubled in size every day.
