Nice two year old heifer with bull calf at side!

Fall calving started today (about 2 weeks early). This nice two year old heifer was acting a little suspect when I went through the heifers but was not in the process of calving. Very hot, obvious some milk in her udder, acted like she wanted to go off from the other cows. In fact she went to the shade as I was leaving the pen. She was twitching her tail but figured it was a horse fly bothering her (tail was not in the air). Decided to go to pasture one last time before returning for the night and here is what we found. Calf look like it was nursing so he/she will get a tag Tommorrow. PTL!

Moving the 7-8 month old heifers so we can get fall calving cows close to the house. Nice young set of heifers. Always fun to watch them grow.

It has been a busy summer putting up hay around the farm. We have one alfalfa field that we completed
The 3rd cutting and two other fields that we will mow 3rd cutting next week.

Lots of grass hay!

Blessed with enough rain to keep grass growing and grass green!
