If your counter looks like the first few seconds of this video, you’re not alone.

We shredded the whole pile in the Cuisinart 9-Cup and bagged it up with the Bag Well, which keeps a gallon bag wide open while you fill it. Shredded zucchini freezes well, so it’ll keep long after the garden’s done.

Both tools are in the store or follow the links below:

That was our last potato test, and it's time for round two. October's Knife of the Month is the Cangshan Kita 6" Chef's Knife. If you've ever had a potato fight back halfway through a cut, the wide blade on this one gives you more control going straight down through tough root veggies. The hammered finish helps slices fall away instead of sticking to the side, which is great news for anyone tired of peeling potato off a knife with their fingers. It also comes with a deep blue magnetic wood sheath, so it can live in a drawer without getting banged up.

Pop in and ask to give it a try! Take a peek at the knife below:

Is there anything better than a crisp fall morning downtown? We spent ours planting mums out front while Ike kept a close eye on things from his favorite spot on the ledge.

Heading home from Saturday Live? Make a stop at Popover first. It's a good afternoon to walk around downtown, and we'd love to see you. Open until 6 tonight.

Watching this before dinner was a mistake. Somebody please let this sandwich out of there 🥪

Make one you actually get to eat with the Cuisinart Griddler® Five. The floating lid presses thick sandwiches evenly, and the nonstick plates keep the melty cheese on your sandwich instead of the grill.

If you need us, we'll be at the store planning what goes in our next panini. Grab one at Popover or click the link below:

One of the best parts of this job doesn't happen at the register. It happens when a customer walks back in, not to buy anything, but to hand us a bag of cookies they baked themselves, with a note taped to the front that says we "never steer them wrong." We get to help people find the right tool or the right advice, and sometimes, we get to taste the results. Not everyone gets to say that about their job. We love our customers, and moments like this remind us why we love Billings. This is community.

Day one of making chokeberry simple syrup, and the sugar-to-berry ratio here raised our eyebrows a little. K Love, unbothered as always, just kept pouring. Give this a few days to work its magic, and we'll show you what comes next.

Consider this your gateway into ASMR, courtesy of K Love and a table full of chokeberries. Big thanks to Nature Nick from Billings Parks and Rec for the drop-off. Simple syrup is on its way; stay tuned.

Five years ago, Trace started with us. She didn't walk in as our Merchandising Maven; she built that over time, one display at a time, until it became clear she has an eye for this that you can't teach.

This morning Marguerite surprised her with a shark balloon bouquet, a nod to the shark tooth jewelry she's rarely seen without. It felt like the right way to mark five years of someone who has quietly made this store look as good as it does.

We're aware some bigger shop in some bigger city would love to have her. We're just glad she's still here, making Popover's shelves and windows worth stopping for.

Local garlic is here, and honestly, this stuff always gets people talking. Our friends at Stone Soup Garden, grown right outside Laurel, dropped off three varieties, and they're out now.

You'll spot Chesnok right away by the red and purple stripes on the cloves. Raw, it's clean and balanced, but cook it down and something happens: it turns earthy, creamy, almost sweet. Roast it whole or melt it into a sauce and you'll see what we mean.

Chefs tend to reach for Music first, and there's a reason for that. Big cloves, true garlic flavor, medium heat. No surprises, just garlic doing exactly what garlic should.

Then there's Romanian Red. The cloves run smaller, which throws people off, but don't be fooled, this one has real bite. If you like your garlic a little loud, start here.

Stone Soup Garden (StoneSoupGardenMT) is at Carter's Thursday Pop-Up Market tonight from 4:30 to 7, and back Saturday for the Farmers Market from 8 to noon. Stop by, say hi, and pick up a head or two while it's still fresh off the ground.

Avocado-Maxxing update: today's trend was an avocado standing in for the bun entirely.

K Love and Decker put it to the test, stacking a burger between two avocado halves instead of bread. The cheese melted straight into the patty, and combined with the avocado, this was not a tidy meal. Both hands, several napkins, worth it?

Scores came in split. Decker: a 10 out of 10. K Love: a 5. Seems the avocado wasn't the only thing getting halved this time. More Avocado-Maxxing still ahead this week.
