What a sale!
The Florida Elite Commercial Heifer Sale wrapped up with some incredibly strong numbers:
Open Heifers — $2,994/head average
Bred Heifers — $4,853/head average
And when you put those numbers against the current cattle market, they mean even more.
Our open-heifer average finished well above recent Florida replacement-heifer values, while the $4,853 bred-heifer average puts these females right in the conversation with some of the strongest replacement-female sales being reported across the country this year.
That kind of demand speaks volumes about the quality of cattle our consignors brought to Okeechobee and the confidence buyers have in these programs.
