We’ve happily flipped the calendar to June, and with it comes new harvests, fuller gardens, and fresh food making its way to the stand each week. There’s something special about this season — watching the work of spring turn into food for our community.

Even though we’re doing what we love, a little weekend away gives us a chance to relax, recharge, and enjoy time together. 🌿

This trip took us to Minnesota — and even on vacation, farms and local food still catch our attention. We loved wandering the farmers market in Rochester and enjoyed an incredible stop at for wood-fired pizza in Decorah, Iowa.

Good food & small farms continue to inspire us and remind us why we love this life so much. 🚜🍕🌱
We got a stunning view from the plane of Mt. Rainier as the sun was setting, welcoming us back to the mountains. 🏔️

We’d love to welcome someone to the farm a couple days each week 🌱🐓

We’re looking for someone who enjoys fresh air, animals, and being part of a small hardworking team. If you’re the kind of person who notices the little things and loves pitching in, we’d love to hear from you.

What we’re looking for:
• Valid driver’s license
• Part-time availability (2–3 days/week)
• Weekend availability — animals need care every day of the year
• Comfortable working with animals: feeding, daily care & observing behavior
• Attention to detail and willingness to notice and report small changes around the farm

Farm tasks may include:
🥚 Collecting eggs
🧹 & seasonal farm work

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys meaningful work and life outdoors.

A fun little surprise this week 🍅
We picked our very first cherry tomatoes of the season and tucked two small boxes into the farm stand… and they disappeared before I could even grab a photo!

That’s okay though — more are coloring up every day, and bigger harvests are just around the corner. Summer food is finally starting to arrive ❤️☀️ 🍅

Now… let’s talk asparagus for a quick moment. 🌱

Not everyone knows this, but asparagus is a seasonal crop. It’s a perennial plant, and those delicious spears we all love are actually the very first shoots that emerge from the ground each spring.

We harvest those tender shoots for eating, but soon we need to let the plants grow tall and ferny so they can feed the root system and store energy for next year’s harvest.

Which means… you heard it — asparagus season is almost over.

If you want a few more meals with this lovely spring favorite, now’s the time to stop by the farm stand before it wraps up for the year. 💚

One of our favorite ways to enjoy asparagus is simple:Rinse the spears, lay them on a sheet pan, drizzle with olive oil, and roast at 400° until tender. Finish with a sprinkle of fresh salt at the table. So simple. So good.
