Come out to BBQU- LSUS Inaugural BBQ Competition at LSU Shreveport and be part of everything happening on campus!

Walk the event, sample BBQ, cast your vote for People’s Choice, visit the Kids Zone, step into the Cool Off Zone to watch the Pilots baseball documentary, stop by the Beer Garden, grab something sweet, and explore what’s set up across campus.

This event is organized by the LSUS Foundation, with proceeds supporting programs, activities, and campus experiences that benefit students and strengthen the university. It’s a chance to show up, enjoy the day, and be part of something that gives back to LSUS.

This isn’t your typical BBQ event! Hot air balloons will be set up on site at BBQU- LSUS Inaugural BBQ Competition, adding something you don’t usually see at a cook-off and giving the whole day a different feel.

Guests will be able to walk through the balloon area, take it all in, and even purchase a tethered ride for $25 per person to get a view of the event from above.

Between BBQ tasting, the Kids Zone, Cool Off Zone with the Pilots baseball short film, the Beer Garden, and everything happening across LSU Shreveport campus, this is one of those features that really sets the day apart. This event is hosted by the LSUS Foundation.
