As we wrap up August we want to say Thank You to everyone who joined us for the Grateful Dead takeover of Anderson School and help celebrate the life of Jerry Garcia.
If you have stayed in one of our hotel rooms, you may notice that each room tells a story inspired by people and events. One of the rooms is "The Wheel" room inspired by Jerry Garcia's first solo LP, released in January 1972. The lyrics are painted along the walls to create a unique space to experience a piece of Garcia's musical legacy.
And be to sure to look up 👀, one of the most special details of the room is the stained-glass window above the sitting area. During construction, the team couldn't find a piece of glass that would fit the space just right. So, Mike McMenamin offered a piece from his personal collection - one he says dates back to the 1800s.
