Hi everyone! 👋

We'd like to thank everyone again for supporting our little stand! A couple of things to note! 📝

We are OUT of dozen-size egg cartons! I will be placing an order to get some fast 🤞 but if you have one of our cartons and/or an empty one lying around, we would happily accept them of any size! They can be left in the stand at any time on one of our empty shelves! 📦

We have a couple of 18-packs and our last dozens in the stand (18-packs will have a price sticker on top). We will be doing our best to keep everything flowing! 🥚

Grandmother's Nook has some fresh cookies, some soft and some with a crunch, as we know everyone has a preference! 🍪

Dog treats will return next week! Along with another selection of sweet treats (we just haven't decided what yet). 🐶

We are still accepting fruits and veggies that may be getting ready to go bad, as well as breads and other similar items. Our critters are loving the extra treats! These can be left behind the stand on the table, or I will be placing an empty basket on the bottom of the stand out of the sun. 🍎🥕🍞

If you think of anything you'd like to also see in the stand, we are open to suggestions! 💡

Something to think about when approaching or having a conversation with our hobby farm and others. A lot will relate, and I'm sure some will not, and that's perfectly okay.

Since starting our little homestead/hobby farm, it's been very clear that there are some things that are not understood by everyone, and again, that's okay! But here's a glimpse of some things that seem to happen more often than not, and this has been my own personal experience.

There is so much time and effort that goes into caring for our animals, our homes, family, friends, and providing for our community. There IS blood, sweat, and tears. Extreme exhaustion some days, and those days start bright and early and more often than not don't end until it's almost morning again. For us here, in addition to all the time we spend cleaning, feeding, watering, collecting, cooking, and preparing for feed runs, etc., we also have families to do all the same things for, and yes, our families are put first.

When reaching out to provide for our community and surrounding communities about things like eggs being available, garden produce, sweet treats, or available livestock (big or small), please think of all that goes into providing these things. We are not looking to get rich; we are not looking to be unreasonable or make as much as we can on a sale and take advantage. In fact, often our prices are far less than they should be. We think of the countless hours we put into everything there is to provide these things—those blood, sweat, and tears we put into it all. And often there is little to no profit being made as it goes right back into providing the care all over again.

We understand that some people will be unwilling to accept our prices, and we are sorry if you do not. But take a moment to consider some of the very small list of things explained, before determining, as there's so much more that goes on in our days to provide the quality that we do. Please be kind to your local homestead/hobby farm/bake stands, etc., as we do not have to provide these quality things for everyone to enjoy, but we do so that you can enjoy them too.

The stand will be back open and stocked with eggs tomorrow! 🥚🐔 We apologize for anyone who's stopping in the past two days for eggs, things have been pretty busy around here! 😅 Peep our younger girls are starting to lay their first eggs! 🐣

Duck duck wanted to send and alert! 🚨📢

The baby bun buns are 8 weeks today! 🐰🍼 Two of them are already off to their new home and 3 of them are awaiting to theirs! Mini rex babies, 2 does 1 buck still avaliable! 🏡💖 Handled daily by kids and adults of course! These little buggers are sweet mixed with the perfect amout of sas and silly! 🥰🤪 they love to be out and about outside, but also would make a good house companion if youd prefer! 🏡💖

And then there was three! These littles turn 8 weeks next week and will be looking for their own home to hop to! 🐇🏡 Handled daily by both kids and adults, eating fresh hay and grass, Rabbit pellets and snack and drinking water with out any complaints! 🥕💧 Add a little hop to your home/homestead! 💖

We also have a select few silver apple yard ducks avaliable, hatched and purchased from a local farmer in may of this year! We just dont need to keep everyone! Everyone free roams fine or happy in enclosures, and house at night for close up. 🦆🍎
