Misfit Ridge Farm

Misfit Ridge Farm We are a small farmstead in Bucksport, Maine. We also breed ADGA registered Nigerian Dwarf Goats.

We focus on some rare breeds of chickens and geese and work with with several breeds that are on the livestock conservancy list.

I just wanted to announce that we have a decided not to renew our NPIP certification this year. We still practice strict biosecurity to ensure healthy flocks. We have reduced our number of chickens recently plus, we honestly have not found the certification to be very useful to us in the past, as we don't ship chicks (a personal, ethical decision we made a long time ago) and we rarely ship hatching eggs.

Honey Bee gave birth to 3 kids yesterday, after a bit of a rough start everyone seems to be doing well! She had two "mini-me" doelings and one stunning buckling! The little sir must have been squished by his sister's because he's got a floppy ear, but it should fix itself!
