A Great Pyrenees will never come when you call them the first time 😭🐕. They hear you, understand you, and then calmly decide that walking toward you is simply not part of today’s life plan 😌🐾. They will never move out of a doorway when you need to pass, never give up the warm spot voluntarily, and never admit they are wrong even when clearly caught in the act 👀😂. They will never walk in a straight line on a leash, never hurry when you are late, and never stop supervising every single thing you do. But somehow… they will always be exactly where you need them when it really matters 🤍🛡️

Libby and Frankie are the definition of gentle giants. With their thick, dark Newfoundland-like coats and warm, soulful eyes, they are as stunning as they are sweet. But it's their hearts that will truly steal yours.

I was in the barn this morning and suddenly heard loud noise like water running. Came outside to see what it was and there were thousands of birds in the wooded area making a ruckous. Found this on ai.
Large flocks of thousands of loud birds in Iowa trees, especially in spring or autumn mornings, are commonly European starlings, red-winged blackbirds, or grackles. These noisy gatherings are migratory, with birds flocking for safety, foraging information, or preparing for winter. These flocks produce a loud, raucous, and synchronized sound.

• Common Species: Starlings and blackbirds are often seen in huge, swarming "murmuration" formations before settling into trees.
• Why so Loud? The noise is a "morning chorus," where birds communicate to define territories and attract mates.
• When It Happens: These gatherings are most frequent in late winter/early spring, often as they travel to nesting areas.
• Appearance: They can appear in massive groups, sometimes taking several minutes to pass by.

These gatherings are a normal, though dramatic, part of the season. grackle-flocks-are-noisy-because-they-are-highly-social-birds-that-congregate-in groups.

This boy is running out of time. He NEEDS out of the shelter today.

Gaston is only 2. He’s been failed horribly by humans but still maintains his super sweet disposition. He’s up to date on vaccines and neutered. He is heartworm positive but we are treating that and will continue to treat it.

He needs a soft place to land. A gentle hand. And love. He needs to know what life feels like.
