Local flower farm, Broken Pot Farm (located in Still River, MA) will be popping during our sidewalk BBQ, tomorrow, Saturday, June 20th from 11am to 2pm! They’ll be offering a ‘build-your-own bouquet’ bar, where customers can choose from a variety of flowers, grown right on their farm, to make a custom flower bouquet assembled on the spot. This is a fun opportunity to put together a last-minute Father’s Day gift, surprise a friend or other loved one, or treat yourself. Swing by! Plus, you can grab some BBQ, too!

Taryn, our Assistant Cheese Buyer and our gluten-free connoisseur, calls this the BEST gluten-free bread, bar none - NOW available at the Huron Ave bread counter! Bonte Bakery (Bonté Bakery) is located in Vermont and we get their loaves delivered every Thursday. We now carry their gluten-free sourdough loaf and gluten-free harvest (fruit and nut) loaf.

New product alert! We are now carrying Chinese Scallion Pie’s scallion pancakes from Revere, MA. This family-owned business has been making scallion pancakes for 35 years. Chinese Scallion Pie was founded in 1991, by a husband and wife team. Having emigrated from China, needing to make ends meet, this team started out by working in restaurants. Learning to perfect how to make scallion pancakes while working, they decided to take a chance and start their own business making and selling scallion pancakes. After much perseverance in trying to convince restaurants that our product would become a future staple to their menus, their hard work would start to pay off and now, 35 years later, Chinese Scallion Pie is selling to markets, restaurants, and food distributors. Come by the Huron Ave location and try this new product, located in the freezers!

We love asking our cheesemongers what their current favorites are, after all, they’re the ones tasting cheese all day! Cheesemonger, Ray’s pick is El Beyucu. A Spanish cow’s milk blue cheese, that according to Ray, “doesn’t get enough love.” This creamy cheese is traditionally wrapped in oak leaves. Currently it is the only Spanish blue cheese that we have in the shop. Come by and ask for a taste!
