Never can get good pictures of the boys, but GRR Salute! Captain Admire My Asset is just over 4 months old and man he really impresses me. Cappy is STOUT with tons of shape. I try really hard to evaluate these bucks with the expectation of having to band them (a lot of bucks should be wethers), but for some reason the boys are always hardest to sort through. I find myself having a “I’ll let him keep them a little longer” mindset 😂. Excited to see how this dude continues to grow out.

Why we are choosing to move forward with the HSFGR registry?

1. Our herd goals better align with the HSFGR standard and we believe there are ample amount of high quality animals out there that may not align with upcoming standards in other registry options that are more than deserving of what some would call “show quality”.

2. “Mini” was never our goal. The uniqueness and long silky coat is what interested us in this breed, and while coat is high importance, keeping correct conformation and structure along with the coat is more important to us.

3. The CHOICE! Having the choice to go with a registry that better aligns with our goals is something we are grateful for! There will never be a time where everyone agrees or has the same goals as one another, that would be boring wouldn’t it? It’s our choice to make, and that’s the only explanation anyone needs from any breeder!

Take a look at HSFGR, also our new directive. Don’t have to worry about size as much (we like the bigger goats). Putting an emphasis on structural and reproductive correctness, while also keeping the long flowing coat a main focus point. Check out the breed standard and see if it interests you, you can do two things at the same time!

Hard to picture jumping kids, but this little buck kid out of GRR Mohawk and GRR Eyebrows is doing well. Standout features so far are his width (especially on his top), shape of his rear, and topline is holding together nicely so far, little dude is built and will continue to be evaluated… He is 16 days old, solid chocolate in color with the exception of one little white spot on his belly, thinking he will be pretty cool!
