One of the things God has been teaching me is that slowing down can be an act of wisdom.

When something hurts, it can be so easy to immediately decide what happened, why someone did it, what it says about us, what God thinks about it—or even what must be happening spiritually.

But sometimes, we simply don't know yet.

We can separate what we KNOW from what we THINK might be true.

We can examine our own responsibility without taking responsibility for someone else's choices.

We can repent where repentance is needed without living under condemnation.

And we can leave what remains unknown with God.

“The simple believes everything, but the prudent gives thought to his steps.”
— Proverbs 14:15

This principle has become part of the heart behind the Biblical Processing Tool and so many of the resources I'm building at The Redeemed Table.

We don't have to force certainty in order to walk faithfully.

Sometimes wisdom looks like saying:

“I don't know yet, Lord—but I trust You with what I don't know.” 🕊️

Sometimes people see a season of your life and decide they understand your whole story.

They see the questions. The mistakes. The reactions. The boundaries. The things you walked away from. The things you’re still learning.

And sometimes they call it rebellion before they ever understand what God has actually been doing in you.

That’s part of why I wrote The Redeemed Table: Before You Call It Rebellion — Christ Did Not Name Me by My Brokenness.

This is my testimony, but it’s also a story about redemption, identity in Christ, discernment, church and relational hurt, responsibility, calling, and learning to let Jesus—not accusation, brokenness, or other people’s conclusions—tell us who we are.

It isn’t about pretending every choice was right or excusing sin. It’s about what happens when Christ meets us in the middle of the complicated parts of our stories and begins separating what needs healing, what needs repentance, what needs releasing, and what He is redeeming.

After so much building, writing, studying, praying, creating, rebuilding (😂), and watching this grow into something much bigger than I first imagined…

Joyls — The Redeemed Table is officially open.

This began with my own story of following Jesus through brokenness, questions, rejection, healing, rebuilding, and learning what it actually looks like to bring the complicated parts of life back to Christ and Scripture.

And somehow, along the way, that story became a table.

A place to read, process, study, journal, ask difficult questions, gather around food, and grow in Christ.

I’ve been building this quietly for a long time. And tomorrow, I’m finally opening the doors. 🌾🤎

The Redeemed Table was born through much more than an idea for a website. It grew through years of questions, rebuilding, surrender, heartbreak, healing, learning, creating—and watching God redeem pieces of my story I once didn’t understand.

I wanted to build the kind of place where we don’t have to pretend the difficult things aren’t difficult. Where we can bring the questions, the confusion, the relationships, the wounds, the patterns we’re trying to understand, our faith, our everyday lives—and bring them back to Scripture and to Christ.

And somehow, along the way, God has brought together so many pieces I never realized belonged at the same table.

Tomorrow, I finally get to show you what I’ve been building.

There’s already a testimony to read and hear, biblical tools and resources to explore, a place to process and journal, recipes from my kitchen, writing from my own journey—and this is only the beginning.

So tomorrow, I’m opening the doors. 🕊️

A message to those who inflict spiritual abuse on people, claiming to be followers of Christ. And to those who are participating by standing on the sidelines, hesitating on defending, and watching it happen. Stand against the enemy, crush the serpent's head. Stop allowing the devil access and letting fear overtake you. Don't become like those who abuse by standing on the sidelines, allowing such things to take place. And defend those who are abusing.
To those who have endured such suffering- Christ is with you. I pray you are healed in Jesus' name! ❤️‍🩹
