We have a few whole Icelandic lambs open for local customers.

Pasture-raised just inland of the coast on our Sonoma County ranch and raised 100% grass-fed.

A good option if you’ve been wanting to buy local lamb directly from the ranch.

Half shares may be an option depending on interest. Just a note: we raise smaller heritage sheep, so our whole lambs are smaller than a typical commercial lamb.

That doesn’t mean imported lamb is bad. It means many people have never had the chance to eat lamb raised close to home, by a rancher they can actually name.

We currently have 8 whole lambs available locally.

Our lambs are raised on mountain pastures here in Sonoma County. They’re the same sheep you see us moving, checking, sorting, and working around day after day.

A whole lamb is a great way to stock your freezer with a mix of cuts, including chops, roasts, ground lamb, stew meat, shanks, and more depending on your cut instructions.

Sheep do not get enough credit.
A steer usually needs more acreage, and sheep can share space in a way cattle cannot. You can run more sheep per acre, and they finish faster. That is why sheep work well on smaller or mixed ground like mine.

Wool is another thing people overlook. It is a renewable fiber that holds up forever. You can use it for clothes, rugs, garden beds, saddle pads, decor, and even insulation because it is naturally fire resistant. It has more uses than people realize.

Some farms milk their sheep because the milk is rich, high in protein, and honestly pretty tasty. It makes great cheese and yogurt, and a lot of people digest it better. I wish I had the time to milk mine because I know it would be amazing, but I do not. All of their milk goes straight to their lambs, and that is where it belongs.

On the land, sheep do not graze like cattle. They pick at different plants, different heights, and hit spots cattle usually skip. It keeps things more balanced out here.

Sheep do more than people realize.
