We had a loss today but now we have a new baby too. I had an event today, rushed home, checked her no baby but we knew she was very close. That's when I discovered the baby llama had died. Immediately went out to rake hay and move the round bales off once Rob was done baling. Just got back home after being in the field for over 3.5 hours and found this little bull calf. Annabelle apparently got bred very late last year so she had a very late baby. Since she was bred so late we probably won't breed her for next year which is sad. But I don't really want another late late baby next year.

Unfortunately Littles died today 😭. He was ok when I left this morning for an event. When I got home he was laying in the same spot but this time wasn't pretending 😭. We had almost all the other animals locked up in other pens or with us, so it wasn't from another animal.

It's so hard when you wait 11-12 months and then they don't make it. 😭

I went out to check on littles this morning. When I found him, he was laying flat by the round bale and I thought he was dead. I couldn't see his head but the way he was laying I for sure thought he was dead. She wasn't near him so I panicked. I ran over and he sat up like ... What?!? 🤦🤣

If you turn up the volume, you can hear him and his mom talking. It's just little hums.

And he's still trying to figure out those long legs 🤣

We found this after cleaning up the corn pit at the fair. I know someone was looking for a toy early on in the week. I believe it was someone we knew or local person but I can't honestly remember who it was. I thought I'd post it in case it was a follower.

The past 2 weeks have been crazy but we made it through! As many of you know last week was Carroll County Fair.

Thank you to everyone that came to visit the Discovery Farm at the fair. Thank You to all of those who supported us by buying feed, shirts, felted items, train rides and putting money in our donation box. We donate our time all week to bring a fun experience to the kids and your support helps us do this!

Thank you to Carroll County Fair for supplying us a tent to setup under.

Thanks to the friends & family who helped us during the week and then tear down Saturday night!

We spent several days before the fair, all week, and then the last 2 days after the fair to get our tent ready & tore down and to help our good friends setup/tear down the poultry barn. We took a nice, much needed, 2 hr nap after finishing over there today 🤣. Now onto unloading our trailers so we can start events again tomorrow lol.
