After a week of curveballs, unexpected surprises, and a whole lot of “you’ve GOT to be kidding me!” moments… we’ve FINALLY got a win! 🙌😂

🚨 PURIFIED WATER IS BACK IN BUSINESS! 🚨

That’s right! The replacement UV light has arrived, and the PURIFIED side of our 24/7 water vending unit is officially BACK UP AND RUNNING! 💧🥳

💚 ALKALINE WATER — Still going strong!

Both sides are back in action and ready to keep those jugs filled! 💦

We’re hoping this means the universe is finally done testing our patience… but we’re not making any bets just yet! 🤣🤞

🚨 PURIFIED WATER VENDING UPDATE 🚨

Unfortunately, the UV light on the PURIFIED WATER side of our 24/7 vending unit decided to call it quits this morning! 😩 We won't be able to get a replacement until Friday.

But don't worry — we're going to do our best to keep you hydrated! 💙

If you're unable to make the trip to our Storm Lake location, I'll do my best to accommodate you!

🚪 Knock on our front door! If I'm here working, I'll gladly fill your jugs for you.

💚 NOGGIN IS ABSOLUTELY REOPENING. 💚

We’re simply not going to announce another date until we’re confident that we can keep it.

We considered opening temporarily for water-only service while we finish the café, but ultimately decided that constantly working around customers—and asking you to work around our construction, painting, cleaning and chaos—would likely slow us down even more.

So we’re putting our heads down, finishing this project, and getting all of Noggin ready to welcome you back.

We’re finishing the renovations, reorganizing and deep-cleaning the store, rebuilding our menu and pricing, updating our ordering system, preparing for Soup Season, working on some new food and drink options, and making a lot of behind-the-scenes changes designed to make Noggin stronger going forward.

💧 Our 24/7 outdoor water vending remains OPEN for both alkaline and purified water.

And to everyone who has checked on us, encouraged us, been patient with us, or simply continued filling your water outside while our doors have been closed—thank you.

This has taken much longer than we ever imagined, and your patience and grace mean more to us than you probably realize.

The next reopening date you see from us will be one we’re confident we can keep.

And hopefully, you won’t be waiting very long for that announcement. 😉💚

💚 NOGGIN UPDATE — YES, WE ARE REOPENING! 💧

We know you've been wondering when those doors are going to open again, and we owe you an update!

Our renovation and complete reset has turned into a much bigger project than we originally anticipated. Some of the maintenance work we need completed has taken longer than expected, and rather than put everything back together only to tear it apart again, we're waiting until that work is finished so we can do this right.

And when we say we've been working on Noggin, we mean ALL of Noggin. 😅

Along with the physical changes inside the store, we're working on a refreshed layout, updated menu and pricing, new food and drink options, online ordering, and lots of behind-the-scenes changes to make Noggin better and easier to operate going forward.

So, to clear up any confusion:

💚 YES — NOGGIN WATER IN CHEROKEE IS ABSOLUTELY REOPENING! 💚

We aren't going anywhere. We're just taking longer to put everything back together than we ever planned. 😊

Our new target reopening is Tuesday, October 6 at 10:00 AM.

We appreciate your patience more than you know. Owning a small business means sometimes the project that you think will take a couple of weeks turns into “well... while we're at it, we should probably fix this too.” 😂 But we'd rather take the time now and reopen ready to serve you well.

💧 Our 24/7 outdoor water vending remains OPEN for both purified and alkaline water.

💧 Our Storm Lake location (509 Lake Ave N) remains open for in-store water refills, including customers wanting to use their Frequent Fill Cards.

💚 NOGGIN REOPENING UPDATE 💧

We’ve been busy behind the scenes—and apparently we had a few more projects on our “while we’re at it…” list than we realized! 😅

Our renovation and reset is taking a little longer than originally planned, so Noggin Water in Cherokee will remain temporarily closed inside through Monday, September 28.

🎉 We are now planning to reopen Tuesday, September 29!

We’re using this extra time to finish things the right way—reorganizing and refreshing the store, improving our layout and workflow, completing maintenance, and getting the café ready to come back with updated menus, drinks, food and SOUP SEASON! 🥯🥤🥗🥣

💧 Our 24/7 outdoor water vending machine remains OPEN for both purified and alkaline water.

💧 Customers needing in-store water refills or wishing to use their Frequent Fill Cards can visit our Storm Lake location, 509 Lake Ave N which remains open Monday-Friday 11:30-6:30.

Thank you SO much for your patience while we work through this huge project. We can't wait for you to see what we've been working on!

🚧 BIG CHANGES ARE HAPPENING! 🚧
We’re giving the store a BIG reset—and we’re doing it in phases so we can keep serving you whenever possible.
Here’s what you need to know:
💧 SEPTEMBER 1–7
Water refills are available inside + limited drinks
🍳 Kitchen is closed
Hours:
Tuesday–Friday 10–6
Saturday 11–3
🚧 BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 8
The inside of the store will temporarily close while we tackle the next phase.
Our vending unit will remain available, 24/7.
Need an in-store water refill or want to use your Frequent Fill Card? You can visit our Storm Lake location- 509 Lake Ave N during this phase.
Behind the scenes, we're working on:
✨ Interior renovations
💧 Water purification equipment maintenance
🍳 Kitchen remodeling
🥤 A complete food & drink menu reset
💰 New pricing
📋 Better systems and operating procedures
🧠 And a whole lot of planning for what's next!
We're currently estimating about 2–3 weeks, but we're not going to give you a firm reopening date until we know we're ready.
We're hoping to bring water & drinks back sooner if possible, with the kitchen returning around the week of September 28 for the start of soup season. 🍲
