✨Start your day with pancakes & sausage at the fire department!
✨Then head over to the Front Street Merchant for their witch's brew event featuring witchy drinks, treats, new fall arrivals, oh and did I mention they have coffee & smoothies too?!
✨ Make your way over to The Book Cellar to have a sample and peruse our book & booze selection!
✨We have Little Oiler's Football over in Bushton with games at 10 & 11:30.
✨You could even come back to Claflin for lunch at Squeegy's and to check out Millers of Claflin!
✨If we haven't exhausted you yet, then go grab some BBQ at the benefit dinner for Brody's Scholarship Fund at the Double H Lodge.

And if you leave here thinking "Man I wanna come back!" then keep an eye out for a few more events we still have coming in October! 🎃👻

We've got so much to tell you! 😆 Check back each day for more info! First off, we have so many thanks we need to give!

❤Thank you all for believing in our dreams and supporting our local business! We are honored to have so many people reach out to us, come to watch us, stream the competition online, and vote for us!!

❤A HUGE thank you to our families! Our husbands have been incredibly supportive of all of our silly schemes, have built our props, have dealt with mom-less nights and very full kid's activity schedules! We couldn't do this without you!

❤ Thank you to all of the businesses that have given us guidance and support through this competition! Millers of Claflin made sure we knew about this opportunity and encouraged us every step of the way. Marketing Maven for being our mentor, providing feedback on our pitch, helping us improve our marketing strategies, and encouraging us to let our personalities shine through!

❤Thank you to our fellow competitors! Great Bend Play Place, The Zarah Coffee Shop, and Shop Sugar Co. We expected backstage to be full of nerves and anxiety (and there was plenty of that) but there was also camaraderie as small local businesses. Oh and a lot of silliness! We even contemplated a surprise wardrobe change for the finale! 🤣

✨ We've got a few changes coming! ✨

This week is our big Ignite finale so we will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday, but back to our regularly scheduled shenanigans (and hopefully a little bit richer 💰) on Friday!

We're also rolling back our summer hours and will be closing at 8 pm until further notice. Let's be real, none of us are leaving our houses after dark once the cool weather is here to stay 💨 🍂

For the owners of The Book Cellar, it started with a search for a good bookstore—one they realized didn't exist close to home.
Instead of accepting that, they decided to create one.

What began as a vision has become The Book Cellar, a unique destination where books, w**e, and conversation come together. More than a retail store, it's a place where people can slow down, discover something new, connect with others, and experience the joy of supporting a locally owned business.

Through the IGNITE program, the owners have refined their business strategy, strengthened their marketing, and gained the confidence to dream even bigger. Their long-term vision includes expanding into the neighboring space to host book clubs, author events, private gatherings, and other community experiences that bring people together.

Sometimes the best stories aren't found on the pages of a book.
Sometimes they're written by the people willing to create something their community has been missing.

Join us on October 8 as The Book Cellar takes the IGNITE stage to share its vision for the future—and compete for a share of $95,000 in prize funding.
