Offer him as a bottle baby or ride this out until he’s older and hope someone wants a spoiled pet?

Bad part is bottle calves are bringing $1000-$1200 😳 and he sure is the sweetest thing already!
If we wait this out idk if we’d get much more when he’s older. If we wait this out and he doesn’t get snatched for a pet… then well he goes to sale. You see- older calves are mostly purchased to be beef and you get docked if not black (yeah stupid I know)
Don’t come at me! I breed the highparks to be pets, but it seems no one wants boys lately 😕

Momma is so engorged that I’m having to help. She will let him nurse a bit and bit, but she has enough milk for multiple calves! Sometimes she’s so uncomfortable and won’t let him on.
He knows where to go and what to do, but she walks forward a lot so he can’t stay on. I tie her up and crawl under her like I’m working on an old car. 🤣 Thankful she’s such a good girl and stands still!

UG… I picked this up to look in it and my hands were covered in mites! Wild birds bring mites in and that’s not a good thing when you have chickens! What is your go to for mites?? I love elector psp bc it’s a one time treatment of coops and birds with no egg withdraw. Downfall is the CO$T!!!
