🔨 We’re hiring!

We’re looking for a Property Caretaker to join our team and help maintain Glynwood’s buildings, residences, and event spaces across our farm in Cold Spring, NY.

This is a hands-on, year-round role for someone who knows their way around a toolbox, takes pride in good work, and can move comfortably between projects. You’ll spend your days tackling carpentry, painting, repairs, and preventative maintenance; preparing spaces for events and overnight guests; working with vendors and contractors; and helping keep our campus safe, functional, and welcoming.

We’re looking for someone with:
🔨 Strong carpentry and painting skills, with examples of your work
🛠️ Working knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical repairs
🌱 The ability to manage projects independently and anticipate what needs attention
🏡 Experience with event, hospitality, or historic properties is a plus
💪 Comfort working both indoors and outdoors and handling physical work

🕐️ 40 hours/week | Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM

On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we recognize that Glynwood’s farm and campus are located on the unceded ancestral lands of the Munsee Lenape people—or Lenapehoking.

For thousands of years, the Hudson Valley was a region rich with Indigenous communities along the Hudson—the river that the Algonquin-speaking Munsee and Mohican nations called Mahicannituck, or “the river that flows both ways.” Today—after being uprooted multiple times—the Munsee Lenape people are located across the continent and are known as the Delaware Nation and Delaware Tribe in Oklahoma, the Delaware Nation at Moraviantown and the Munsee-Delaware First Nation in Canada, and the Stockbridge-Munsee Community in Wisconsin.

We encourage our community to learn more about the Indigenous nations and communities whose ancestral lands we live and work on. Visit https://native-land.ca/ to explore whose homelands you call home.

🌱 Ready to take the next step in your farming career?

Applications are now open for Glynwood’s 2027 Apprenticeship Programs, offering intensive, hands-on training in both livestock and vegetable farming.

🐄 Livestock Apprenticeship
For beginning farmers ready to pursue a career in livestock production. Over nine months, apprentices work as part of the crew managing Glynwood’s Animal Welfare Approved livestock operation while building skills in regenerative, pasture-based production of beef, pork, lamb, and poultry.

🥕 Vegetable Apprenticeship
For farmers with full-time commercial farm experience who are ready to deepen their skills and prepare for a career in vegetable farming. Apprentices work full-time on Glynwood’s certified organic vegetable operation, gaining experience in everything from tractor operation and crop production to farm management, decision-making, and business planning.

Both programs combine full-time, hands-on farm work with structured education and are part of the Hudson Valley Apprenticeship, bringing apprentices from participating farms together for supplemental classroom learning.

Join us for an unforgettable evening at Glynwood for a farm-to-table dinner with special guest Marion Nestle and in honor of her 90th Birthday. 🎂✨️

Marion is Paulette Goddard Professor of Nutrition, Food Studies, and Public Health, Emerita, at New York University, which she chaired from 1988-2003 and from which she officially retired in September 2017. She is also a Professor in the Sociology Department at NYU and Visiting Professor of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University. Her research examines scientific and socioeconomic influences on food choice, obesity, and food safety with emphasis on the role of food marketing.

She is also an author of six prize-winning books, the most recent being “Unsavory Truth: How Food Companies Skew the Science of What We Eat.”

Our team supports and trains hundreds of farmers who are working everyday to tend our land, feed our families, and they are serving as our true frontline healthcare workers. And at Team Glynwood, together, we're meeting the headwinds straight on. Executive orders that disincentivize regenerative agriculture. Policy that prioritizes profit for a few over food for everyone. A current food system that is literally making us sick. This team, our team, Team Glynwood is on the right side of history."
