Nasturtium olive oil infusion!! Why you ask?

Nasturtium (Tropaeolum majus) is added to soap for its antimicrobial, antioxidant, and astringent properties, as well as its rich content of vitamin C and natural pigments.

Key Benefits in Soap Making

• Antimicrobial and Antifungal Action: Nasturtium contains natural compounds that help fight bacteria and fungi, making it useful for cleansing and supporting troubled or acne-prone skin.

• Antioxidant Protection: Rich in carotenoids, flavonoids, and vitamin C, nasturtium extracts help shield the skin from oxidative stress and environmental damage.

• Astringent and Scalp Care: Used in water or oil infusions, nasturtium acts as a mild astringent to tone the skin or balance excess oil production (it is also commonly featured in specialized cleansing formulas targeting dandruff).

• Natural Texture and Color:
• Ground or flaked leaves can be mixed directly into finished or hand-milled soap for gentle physical texture.
• The vibrant orange and yellow flowers add natural carotenoid pigments and botanical visual appeal.
• Floral-Green Scent: Its bright, peppery profile adds a unique, fresh botanical aroma to artisan bars.

Get ready guys......goat milk and nasturtium bars coming for this Winter season!!!!!!
