☀️Boarding Available For 2 Horses
Pinney Stables LLC in Colebrook, CT- we have two boarding openings and would love to welcome a couple of new faces into our farm family!

We specialize in retirement boarding, end-of-career care, and senior or special-needs horses. We understand how much these horses mean to their families and how important it is to find the right place when their needs begin to change.
We're a small, hands-on farm where every horse is known by name and treated like one of our own. Our boarding services include all aspects of daily care, feeding, grooming, administering medications, scheduling veterinary and farrier appointments, standing for both, and maintaining clean stalls, yards, and living spaces.

We take pride in the little things that make a big difference, especially for our older horses who deserve a little extra time and attention. Whether they're slowing down after a long career or simply enjoying their golden years, we want them to feel right at home.

The farm has just not been the same without Paul here with us. We miss him so much- his laugh his smile and his unwavering kindness to everyone❤️ our farm family truly feels his absence.
Here's just a little throwback to about a year ago when we had to relocate some of our buildings- our tractor didn't have enough rear weight to lift the sheds, so farm family had to climb aboard 😅
We are blessed to have paul as part of our farmily, and hope he can rejoin us soon 💓

A little update on our sweet Momma ❤️🐮

Yesterday we had Tri-State Veterinary Clinic out to take a look at a lump that recently started forming on Momma’s side.

There are quite a few things that can cause a new lump or mass in cattle-it could be something as simple as fatty tissue or another benign growth, an abscess or inflammatory tissue, or potentially a type of tumor. There’s really no way to know just by looking at it, so rather than guess, we wanted to find out exactly what we’re dealing with.

The vet performed an ultrasound to get a better look at the mass and took a biopsy sample that will be sent out for testing. Now we wait for the results and go from there. ❤️

Momma was definitely nervous about the whole ordeal, but she was SUCH a good girl!

At the ripe old age of 16, this spicy old lady has earned the right to be a little opinionated. 😂 Momma has mothered 13 calves in her lifetime and is hands-down one of the most protective mothers we have ever met. She does NOT mess around when it comes to her babies!

These days, she enjoys a much quieter life with us treats, back scratches, good food and people who understand that affection is usually given on Momma’s terms. 😂❤️

As Momma gets older, visits like this are also a reminder of why sponsorships are so important to our sanctuary. Senior animals often come with additional veterinary visits, testing, medications and ongoing care.

Momma is currently looking for a sponsor, or a few sponsors, who would like to help us cover her medical expenses and make sure this sweet, spicy girl continues getting everything she needs as she ages.

Our 5 Deer Hill Road boys have officially been cleared for adoption! ❤️🐓

These guys are extremely healthy-clean feet, clean feathers, clean faces, and no bugs, mites or signs of anything concerning. Just 5 handsome young men looking for their forever homes!

We've had some VERY friendly birds come through our gates over the years, but I honestly think these five take the cake. It's almost like they were raised by a little kid who handled them constantly. 😂 You can quite literally walk up to any one of them, at any time, and just pick them right up. They don't run, they don't fight you, they just let you scoop them up!

Which honestly makes it even harder to understand how someone could dump them on the side of the road. But that's behind them now. They're safe, healthy, ridiculously sweet, and they need homes!

We would really love to get these boys placed instead of adding 5 more permanent mouths to the sanctuary. If you have room for a rooster or know someone with a safe flock who does- please reach out and PLEASE share this post. Even taking just one of these boys makes a difference.

They've already been dumped once. Let's get all 5 into homes where they'll never have to worry about that again. ❤️🐓
