Full Retirment BOARD OPENING!
We currently have an open space for ONE friendly mare or gelding to join another horse in shared turnout!
*Accommodations for two horses to come in as a pair available after August 16th!
Spacious run in sheds with daytime field access!
• Feet picked daily
• Grooming 2–3 times per week (and as needed)
• Blanket changes, fly masks, fly spray, etc. (you provide it, we apply it)
• We hold for both the veterinarian and farrier
• Grain fed twice daily
• Hay fed three times daily (including a night check feeding when needed)
Our feeding schedule varies slightly each day to help prevent horses from anticipating feed time:
• Morning: approximately 5:45–7:30 AM
• Evening: approximately 4:00–7:00 PM (a little later during the summer)
• Night check: approximately 9:00–10:30 PM
Our horses enjoy a relaxed, turnout-focused lifestyle with free-choice pasture during the day and dry paddocks at night (some horses have the opposite schedule based on their individual needs). They have access to run-in sheds 24/7, with stalls available for severe weather, medical needs, or emergencies.
We live on the property, so someone is always on-site. Paddocks are cleaned daily, our 100-gallon water tubs are emptied and scrubbed twice a week, heated water is available in the winter, and fans run in the sheds on hot summer days until dinner time.
We pride ourselves on providing a quiet, laid-back environment where the horses are truly loved. They're spoiled by wonderful volunteers, retired ladies who enjoy grooming and spending time with them, agriculture students, and, of course, us!
If you'd like to schedule a visit, I'd love to show you around. Feel free to reply here or text Ashley at 860-605-7966 if we happen to miss your message!
Come join are amazing farm family!
