As most of you may know, back in May, an electrical fire in our pizza trailer turned our business upside down. Since then, we’ve done everything we could to explore a path forward. We considered repairing the trailer, building a new trailer completely, and reimagining what our little family pizza business could look like.
After a lot of thought, prayer, and discussion, we’ve made the difficult decision not to reopen.
Although we have only been open for a little over a year, Brick & Ember has been about more than business to us. It’s been about creating memories at weddings, tailgates, birthday parties, corporate events, and Aggie game days. It’s been about the friendships we formed around a pizza oven and the smell of post oak wood burning.
It’s been about laughter, hard work, and a whole lot of love.
To every customer who trusted us to be part of your celebrations, to every event host who welcomed us, to every customer who came back for seconds (and thirds!)—thank you. You’ve supported us in ways we’ll never forget, and we’re forever grateful.
For those who have already booked events in the coming months, if we haven't connected with you already, know that our sister location in DFW has graciously agreed to fulfill all of those commitments, and we'll make sure you're connected with our friends from Brick & Ember North Texas.
While Brick & Ember’s chapter is closing we’re excited for what the future holds and look forward to seeing you around town.
God Bless & Gig'em,
Dallas, Maurie & the Brick & Ember Pizza Family
