Olive Pit From a small frosty stand shelf to a beloved destination, the Olive Pit began over 50 years ago with Pete & Ann Craig’s local olives.

We offer olives, oils, vinegars, nuts, specialty foods & more, along with a café. Over 50 years ago, Pete and Ann Craig displayed several jars of olives on a small shelf of the original Olive Pit – a frosty and hamburger stand – to see if any one would be interested in buying their locally grown, locally produced olives. People were quick to purchase the olives and a Corning tradition was born. Today the Craig family still serves travelers with tasty frosties, milkshakes, and delicious burgers – their store has expanded five times to meet the demands of hungry visitors. The inventory has also expanded and now includes a variety of Olives, Olive Oils, Nuts, Vinegars, Mustards and Gift Items – local products that will liven up any meal, from a quiet meal for two to a large gathering of friends and family. http://www.olivepit.com/about.aspx

After an incredible 47 years, our amazing manager Renee is officially retiring! ❤️

We can’t thank Renee enough for her years of dedication, hard work, and commitment to The Olive Pit. She has always been a friendly face, a helping hand, and someone who could greet you with a smile no matter what the day brought.

Renee has been such an important part of The Olive Pit family & we are going to miss her more than words can say! 🫒

We hope this next chapter is filled with lots of family time, trips to Hawaii, relaxation, and all the things she deserves after 47 years of hard work! 🌺 Congratulations on your retirement, Renee! We love you and wish you all the best! 🎉
