A little history

Mussels and Clams, pan sautéed in butter, butter, garlic, beer, finished with peppers served with warm bread for dipping. Paid perfectly with a saison from Northern Outer Banks Brewing Company on draft.

Very cool to see

1954 - North span of the abandoned New Inlet Bridge project of 1934. St. Claire Midgett's hunting & fishing lodge is seen near the south end of the bridge span. The paved road that would be Highway 12 is also shown along the coast. The section of the highway between Oregon Inlet and Rodanthe was the last to be completed in September of 1953.
