You may have seen our post a few days ago, but we wanted to share an updated reminder! We will NOT be accepting deer from October 12 through the evening of October 18.

As much as we wish we could be available 24/7 throughout deer season, we want to remind everyone that when we say The Venison Vault is a small scale deer processing business, we mean it 🤣 We are just a family owned business run by just TWO people! And honestly, a lot of that time Adam is running the show. So please remember when we have dates that we are unavailable or full, it just the two of us doing our best to provide quality processing while also juggling our full time jobs, family, and everyday life.

We know these dates fall right in the middle of deer season, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding! We are incredibly grateful for everyone who continues to support our little business. We can't wait to welcome back familiar faces and meet some new ones this season!

Sometimes Its the little things... like our 5 year wanting to help out so I allowed him to place the stickers on the outside packaging and he was so ecstatic and happy he helped out a customer. (Thankfully a customer I knew would be understanding about them being a little crooked on a couple)

This is a reminder we are just a local family servicing our other local families! We unfortunately miss out on time with our kiddos sometimes because we made this decision but when they are able to help and ask to help (and its safe/sanitary to do so), whats the harm in it? 🥺

If you do not want crooked label or a handwritten note occasionally on your bags, please let us know 😬 we are teaching him the ins and outs of how this all works.

Hey guys! We are open and ready to help!
We are also DSA certified! We are excited to see what you all bring us this year!

Couple things to remember:

-Leave a message and or call/text and we will get back to you as soon as possible. First come, first serve as we are a small private shop and not a lot of room!

-Best time for drop off is during evening hours/weekends set up through contacting us!

-Most pick ups will be available during evening hours and weekends. We may potentially be able to set pick ups during the day throughout the week, just have to play it by ear.

Our success has come from word of mouth basis and we can’t thank all of you enough!

Remember it is just my wife and I, and we are just like you having full time jobs and a family! That being said we will help as many as we can! Cooler is cold and the knives are sharp! Good luck everyone, and God Bless!

We will officially begin accepting deer September 20th! There are a few changes this season so please forgive me for this long post 🤣 I will break it down in sections but please take the time to read over it especially for the new things!

PRICING
Unfortunately, with the continued increase in the cost of supplies, ingredients, utilities, and other boring things you probably don't care to read about, we have had to make a few small adjustments to our pricing this season. We have worked really hard to keep our prices affordable while continuing to provide the same quality processing you've come to expect from us but this is your yearly reminder that there is only two of us. Please be patience with us 🥺

NEW FREEZER STORAGE POLICY
Freezer space gets very valuable during deer season! Especially because you guys continue to show up every year and we are truly blessed for that! But since we are a small business, when customers don’t show up or communicate with us, we have to turn other customers away due to freezer space.
After 72 hours, a $5/day freezer storage fee will apply. We completely understand that things come up! If you're unable to make it within that timeframe, please reach out to us so arrangements can be made. All we are asking for is communication. If some other arrangements are made prior to the 72 hours, then this will not apply to you! We hope you understand.

VENISON VAULT GIVE BACK PROGRAM

Last year, we soft launched this program by placing the option to donate on your order sheets for you to fill out if you wish. This year we really want to hone in and use deer season as an opportunity to give back to those families around us that could use a little help. I will post more information on this in the future!

See the picture below for an incentive of donating to the cause! If you know us (especially Allie), you know that we love a good challenge and competition. With that being said the hunter who donates the MOST ground venison this season will receive $20 OFF one basic processing fee next season!

Help us fill some freezers and put locally harvested meat on the tables of families who could really use it.

NEW REFERRAL PROGRAM
Love The Venison Vault? (We hope you do, lol) send your hunting buddies our way!

When a new customer brings us a deer, have them tell us who referred them. Every referral you make earns you one entry into a drawing at the end of the season for a Venison Vault hat or shirt!
*but wait… there's more*
The person with the MOST referrals this season will also receive $20 OFF one basic processing fee next season! There is no limit to the number of referral or drawing entries you can earn.

LAST PART... you're almost there.. 😬
We truly hate having to turn anyone away, but we also know our limits. We’d rather say “we’re full” than take on more than we can handle and not give your deer the time and care it deserves. It really hurts our heart to have to do this, especially when its someone who is a repeat customer.

We stand by a simple rule that we even posted back when we first started. We will not give back to you anything we wouldn’t feed our own family. Because of that, we reserve the right to stop accepting deer when we’ve reached capacity or if the circumstances leading up to the harvest are questionable (out in the heat too long, improperly handled prior to arriving here, etc.) to dispose of any meat or portions that are questionable or unsafe. If you want a processor that gives you every single piece regardless of the gut shot/coloring/smell/time it sat out in 76 degrees, then unfortunately we are not the one for you! And that's okay, we strive to look out for you guys as our own.

We cant say enough how much we appreciate everyone who chooses our small family business, recommends us to friends, shares our posts, and comes back season after season. We notice and it means more than you know.

We are looking forward to seeing familiar faces, meeting some new ones, giving back to our community, and having another great deer season at The Venison Vault!
