Itâs with a heavy heart that we share some news: our Innovation Cullowhee (âInnowheeâ) taproom will be officially closing. This was not an easy decision, and itâs certainly bittersweet, but after much thought we know itâs the right step forward.
We want to be clearâthis decision doesnât reflect any lack of commitment to WCU. Our partnership with Western Carolina means so much to us, and itâs not going anywhere. Weâll continue brewing Paws Pilsner (the official beer of WCU), supporting Catamount athletics with renewed advertising, and hosting WCU faculty and staff at our Dillsboro location. While we may not have a taproom on campus anymore, our relationship with the university remains strong.
To our regulars: thank you. To the trivia teams who showed up week after week, the WCU faculty who made this a gathering spot, and our staff who poured their hearts into every shiftâyou made Innowhee what it was: a space for everyone.
Innovation isnât leavingâjust shifting. We hope youâll keep letting us pour your beers in Sylva and Dillsboro. đť
Now for the details:
Our last two days will be Monday (8/18) and Tuesday (8/19) from 12â9 PM (or later if yâall really show up). Swing by to raise a glass, share memories, and say goodbye. Innowhee shirts will be just $5, and all beers $1 off while supplies last.
