WOW CUSTOMER UPDATE!!!!!! Lucky Feather was sent a split dozen of Welsummer and Silverudd, 11 out of 12 hatched!!! Out of those 11 that hatched, 10 were girls, only 1 rooster!!! Those 10 ladies are now laying these AMAZING eggs!!!!!! I have been pushing my line in each generation to have the most speckles possible, now all of that work and time is paying off! This has me so excited!!!!! I LOVE when customers show off what they are getting!! Thank you greatly, Lucky Feather, for this update!! It truly has me so excited!!

My uncle recently asked me, "What do you do with all the ground from your pigs? We always have so much of it."
After he explained (ground pork), because I was like, "Huh? 🤨🤔" completely lost, thinking he was talking about the actual ground, 🤣 like dirt and such 🤦‍♀️. I explained that we handle all of our own meat processing here on the farm for our personal food. Every single piece of pork in my freezer was hand-cut by me. Of course, when we start offering pork to customers, it will be processed in a USDA facility. Anywho, this is what I do because I CANNOT decide on a meat grinder (recommendations would be much appreciated), and we absolutely love it this way, too! I call these pork bits; they are all of the random meat cuts from my processing. I cut them into bite-sized pieces and freeze them in meal-sized portions until they are needed. It is perfect in a cast-iron skillet cooked in a bit of lard or tallow! This morning, it was a beautiful Whole Foods breakfast for my family (my guys plates, not mine 🤣)! After I finally get my meat grinder, we will have both pork bits and ground pork as meal options! I am excited to share how I use ground pork in SO many ways here and on YouTube!

One accomplishment that I am extremely proud of is being able to provide my family with fresh, glorious, insanely DELICIOUS, ORGANIC soy-free pork! Organic, soy-free, pork is not something that you will see often, so it was a big goal for me. I know every single thing that went into this beautiful meat, and that truly makes me feel that I am doing something wonderful for my family's health! Just listen to that sizzle! 😋🤤

Beautiful Dolly passed away today 😢 I always thought she was so charming. I was raised on her music. She is an absolute icon! 80 is still too young. Music helped shape me and Dolly was/is a favorite! 😔
