A big ole thanks to the folks who came out last weekend for a day of wh***ey! Everyone who participated in our inaugural bottle-your-own-wh***ey experience signed the barrel's head for posterity. We're keeping the barrel head as a memento of a fantastic tradition we hope to continue in the future!

PS — We're hoping to bottle the last remainders of this barrel and have it for sale at the distillery hopefully soon.

Come one, come all to the distillery this Saturday, October 10th at 10am, for a rip-roaring double release!

First wh***ey on the docket is our Saints Alley 10-Year Herald Cigar Blend, the second bottling from our Cigar Blend collection. Second release — and for the first time ever — is an Assemblage double aged in Texas Oak barrels that you'll be able to self bottle!

We've been hyping our upcoming 10-year Cigar Blend release — RIGHTFULLY SO — but what about the bottle-it-yourself experience that's also going on at the distillery next Saturday Oct. 10? The double aged Assemblage is something we've never done before because of one key reason: the Texas Oak barrels.

So why is this interesting? Unlike Europeak Oak, Texas Oak doesn't typically grow in a way that makes it useful for barrel making. But, Standard Cooperage out of Blanco developed a magical method for manipulating the finicky Texas Oak into useable barrels that impart incredible flavor.

But why Texas Oak? Simply put: different oaks, grown in different areas, result in different (and amazing) flavors. See y'all at the distillery on 10/10!

10 more days! The new 10-year Saints Alley Herald Cigar Blend drops on 10/10 at our Denison, TX distillery. The same day, we're also hosting a bottle your own wh***ey experience featuring an Assemblage double aged in Texas Oak barrels. Bring all 10 fingers & 10 toes, wear your 10 gallon hat, and I bet 10 to 1, you'll have a blast.

FYI: If you can't make it to the distillery that day, left over Cigar Blend bottles will go online the following Monday at 10 am. It hits stores nationwide shortly thereafter!

As a newly minted Texan, y'all will be happy to know she ordered a burger with BBQ *atop* the patty and sipped an Ironroot Old Fashioned. Jonathan, Marcia, Charlie, and Nellie shared a taste of Texas wh***ey with the over 1,500 people who ventured out to Brewzlefest this past weekend! There’s nothing quite like the passion craft distillers and wh***ey enthusiasts bring to an event like this, especially when we busted out the iced cocktail maker. 🎉

A huuuuge thank you to the entire Brewzle team for putting together such an memorable event. And to everyone who stopped by, enjoyed a wh***ey, and shared so many kind words about Ironroot: your enthusiasm means the world to us! Can't wait 'til next year!

OUR HERALD CIGAR BLEND IS BACK! YEP, *THAT* ONE!

Jonathan and Chris put their talented noses to the grindstone in the blending room this year, carefully crafting the next release of our Saints Alley Herald 10 Year Cigar Blend. Now that they're done, we're so excited to finally give y'all a tiny taste of what's coming! This year’s blend comes in at 110 proof and brings together bourbon ranging from 10 to 15 years old, with portions aged in both Sherry and Armagnac casks. The result is a rich, complex blend built for slow sipping and — of course — pairing with a great cigar.
