We want to take a moment to celebrate the people who have made our harvest possible.

Through heat and rain, across four urban farms and a growing season that never really stops, our farm team shows up every day to make sure Southwest Denver has what it needs. They plant, tend, harvest, and distribute, and they do it with pride, expertise, and deep love for this community.

In 2025, Re:Vision's farms produced 90,000 pounds of fresh, organically grown food, all of it going directly to our community at no cost. And here in 2026, we’re looking to surpass that milestone, a testament to the incredible commitment of this team and the growing impact of our farms.

Every harvest begins with the people behind it. Today, we celebrate each and every one of them.

Queremos tomarnos un momento para celebrar a las personas que han hecho posible nuestra cosecha.

A pesar del calor y la lluvia, a lo largo de cuatro granjas urbanas y durante una temporada de cultivo que prácticamente nunca se detiene, nuestro equipo agrícola se presenta cada día para asegurar que el suroeste de Denver cuente con lo que necesita. Siembran, cuidan, cosechan y distribuyen; y lo hacen con orgullo, experiencia y un profundo amor por esta comunidad.

This partnership helps us distribute thousands of additional pounds of produce, protein, dairy, and pantry staples each week, ensuring our neighbors have access to a full range of nutritious food.

What is food sovereignty, and why does it matter.

Food sovereignty is the right of communities to define their own food systems – what is grown, how it is grown, and who benefits. It is the foundation of everything Re:Vision does.

In Southwest Denver, food sovereignty means Latino families reclaiming the land, growing ancestral crops, and building a neighborhood-owned economy. Our mission is to work with communities historically impacted by social inequities to develop resident leaders, cultivate community food systems, and create an economy owned by the community.

This is not charity. This is community power.

¿Qué es la soberanía alimentaria y por qué es importante?

La soberanía alimentaria es el derecho de las comunidades a definir sus propios sistemas alimentarios: qué se cultiva, cómo se cultiva y quién se beneficia. Es la base de todo lo que hace Re:Vision.

En el suroeste de Denver, la soberanía alimentaria significa que las familias latinas recuperan la tierra, cultivan productos ancestrales y construyen una economía propiedad del vecindario. Through the City of Denver’s People’s Budget, Denver residents voted to prioritize food security in West Denver and selected Re:Vision for the Mobile Food Access Project. With this funding, Re:Vision is making important capital investments in our food security work, including this new refrigerated truck, unveiled last Friday at Denver Health’s Federico F. Peña Southwest Family Health Center – one of our food distribution points.

The truck is more than a capital investment. It is a catalyst for bringing the fresh, healthy food we grow on our farms and from our partners to more Southwest Denver community members. With this new capacity, we expect to expand our food distribution points across Southwest Denver in the near future.

This is what community investment can make possible: resources directed toward the people doing the work, creating new ways to bring healthy food closer to home.

We’re grateful to the City of Denver’s People’s Budget (), Denver Health (), and everyone who helped make this next step possible.

Chef Erasmo “Ras” Casiano of Xiquita Restaurante y Bar , a James Beard Award semifinalist whose cooking draws from Indigenous Mexican foodways and the traditions of his upbringing.

Chef Rubén Hernández of La Reyna del Sur , a native Mixtec chef from Oaxaca whose cooking honors the traditions of his community and the land.

Chefs Vivi Lemus and Kristin Lacy of Convivio Café , bringing Guatemalan food, culture and sustainable agriculture to the table.

Join us for good food and an evening with the chefs, local businesses, community leaders and supporters helping build a healthier, more equitable Southwest Denver.

We honor this day by continuing our mission: building food sovereignty, economic power, and cultural celebration for our Latino community.

Hispanic Heritage Month begins today, September 15, and at Re:Vision, we celebrate every single day.

Our work is rooted in Mexican and Latino culture at every level: the ancestral seeds we plant, the cooking traditions we teach, the language we speak, the leaders we develop from within the community. Our promotoras carry cultural knowledge into every home visit and every garden bed. Our Semillas youth learn about Indigenous Aztec aquaponics and the deep history of food sovereignty in communities like ours.

Orgullo Latino. This month and every month, we honor the culture that built this community and the generations who came before us. Share what Hispanic Heritage Month means to you in the comments.

Hoy, 15 de septiembre, comienza el Mes de la Herencia Hispana, y en Re:Vision lo celebramos todos los días.

Nuestro trabajo tiene sus raíces en la cultura mexicana y latina en todos los niveles: las semillas ancestrales que plantamos, las tradiciones culinarias que enseñamos, el idioma que hablamos y los líderes que formamos dentro de la propia comunidad. Nuestras promotoras llevan consigo este conocimiento cultural a cada visita domiciliaria y a cada huerto. Los jóvenes de nuestro programa Semillas aprenden sobre la acuaponía indígena azteca y la profunda historia de la soberanía alimentaria en comunidades como la nuestra.

Meet Re:Vision's four urban farms, the backbone of food sovereignty in Southwest Denver.

For decades, Southwest Denver has faced limited access to fresh, healthy food. Re:Vision is changing that by transforming underutilized land into thriving urban farms that grow fresh, organic produce for the community.

La Granja is the heart of our food hub, where our team cultivates organic vegetables distributed free through our No-Cost Grocery and as CSA boxes for patients. Granja Corazón, an activated lot on Morrison Road, adds 500 to 1,000 pounds of fresh food each growing season. Granja Soberanía, a one-acre farm made possible through a partnership with Southwest Improvement Council and federal funding secured by Congresswoman DeGette, grows organic produce for our community and CSA program. And Granja Osceola, activated this summer in Villa Park through a partnership with , is expanding access to fresh food even farther.

Together, these four farms are helping close the food access gap by growing healthy food where it's needed most, creating a resilient, community-led food system rooted in dignity, sustainability, and local ownership.

Conoce las cuatro granjas urbanas de Re:Vision, la columna vertebral de la soberanía alimentaria en el suroeste de Denver.

Durante décadas, el suroeste de Denver ha enfrentado un acceso limitado a alimentos frescos y saludables. Re:Vision está cambiando esta situación transformando terrenos subutilizados en prósperas granjas urbanas que producen alimentos frescos y orgánicos para la comunidad.

"La Granja" es el corazón de nuestro centro de distribución de alimentos; allí, nuestro equipo cultiva verduras orgánicas que se reparten gratuitamente a través de nuestra iniciativa de alimentos sin costo y en cajas CSA para pacientes de . "Granja Corazón", un terreno habilitado en Morrison Road, aporta entre 500 y 1000 libras de alimentos frescos en cada temporada de cultivo. "Granja Soberanía" —una granja de un acre creada gracias a una colaboración con el Southwest Improvement Council y a fondos federales gestionados por la congresista DeGette— cultiva productos orgánicos para nuestra comunidad y nuestro programa CSA. Por último, "Granja Osceola", habilitada este verano en Villa Park mediante una colaboración con , está ampliando aún más el acceso a alimentos frescos.
