The CDC is investigating a multistate E. coli AND Salmonella outbreak linked to alfalfa sprouts.

⚠️ 55 people sick
🏥 4 hospitalized
📍 15 states affected
🙏🏽 0 deaths

The sprouts were grown by Everything Sprouts and sold under the Calco and Everything Sprouts brands.

🚨 There is NO official recall at this time, but health officials say DO NOT EAT the affected sprouts. Throw them away or return them to the store.

If you had them in your refrigerator, wash anything they touched with hot, soapy water or run it through the dishwasher.

🚨 CHECK YOUR FRIDGE — JALAPEÑO RECALL UPDATE! 🌶️

If you shop at Walmart, Kroger, Albertsons, Tom Thumb, Randalls or H-E-B, please take a minute to check your refrigerator!

A Salmonella outbreak linked to recalled jalapeños has now affected prepared foods containing those peppers, including some salads, wraps, burritos, enchiladas, pico de gallo, salsa, dips and other refrigerated items.

📍 TEXAS: Affected products were distributed in Texas, including products sold through Walmart and Albertsons-family stores (Albertsons, Tom Thumb & Randalls). One specifically identified Walmart item is the Marketside Southwest Style Salad with Chicken.

📍 ARKANSAS: Arkansas is also included in the affected distribution area, with Kroger specifically confirming Arkansas in its recall information. Walmart is also among the retailers involved, although I have NOT found confirmation identifying individual Arkansas Walmart locations.

📅 CHECK YOUR DATES: Depending on the product, affected use-by/best-by dates extend through August 16, 2026.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: This is NOT saying every product containing jalapeños at these stores is recalled. Check the specific product, brand and date before throwing anything away.

USDA has also warned that additional downstream products may still be identified, so the list may continue to grow.

Please share this, especially with family and friends. Somebody may have one of these products sitting in the refrigerator right now. ❤️
