Rittman Orchards is a family-owned fruit and vegetable farm and farm market in northeast Ohio. Growing the finest apples, peaches, strawberries, raspberries, sweet corn, pumpkins and much, much more since 1922. We offer u-pick on many crops seasonally, along with several festivals and family-friendly events.

IT'S THE FIRST UPICK APPLES OF THE SEASON!!!!!!!!

Opening at 9am today (8/29) and closing promptly at 5pm.

What can you pick?
Honeycrisp Apples: $28/peck | $56/half bushel
Red Raspberries: $6.25/lb | $1.25/white bucket
Flowers: $12/jar | $18/vase

Also, our store is full of ice cream, cookies, candy, other apple varieties, and so many other delights. Come shopping for goodies when you are done picking your apples!

AND after upick closes, the fun does not end. At 5pm Top Rope Tacos will be serving killer food at Bent Ladder along with LIVE music by Jim Ballard.

Look at these gorgeous apples. We have Honeycrisp pre-bagged in our store, but now you can pick your own! This weekend (Saturday 8/29 9am-5pm & Sunday 8/30 11am-5pm) come out and pick some delicious, crunchy, sweet apples. We will also have upick raspberries open too!!!!! What a day it will be.

Prices:
Raspberries: $6.25/lb | White Bucket $1.25 (or bring yours from past years)
HONEYCRISP (we only have two size bags available to pick for apples)
PECK: $28
HALF BUSHEL: $56

Empty bins are put out in the morning or night before to fill with apples.

On Sunday, I put about 10 bins in our Gala rows in the Big Block at the top of the orchard. Our workers picked them and they were all brought down to be stacked in our large cooler building.

Soon they will out in our store!

What’s coming down the apple variety line!? Our staff is out picking: Gala, Summer Rambo, Summerset and Golden Supreme today. I’m busy bringing up empties and taking down fulls. These varieties will be in the store sometime this week. Please call if you are looking for a specific kind.

Let the apple haulin’ commence! Chris showed me the long list of apples that need to be picked next week by our staff. There were almost 10 kinds.

The store will be having new apple varieties almost daily at this point. I will do my best to keep the website up to date. 😳

If you ever wonder who picked the corn when you buy it at our store...it is most likely Chris.

Yesterday, he wanted to show the kids how to do it, so we took a trip on the "Blota" (Oliver's interpretation of Kabota) and headed to the corn field.

What fun. Despite being itchy and hot, they enjoyed adding to the blue bins. We picked about three good piles of corn. If you were in the store yesterday, the corn you bought was probably picked by Chris, Abbie or me. Oliver's was mostly returned to the earth for composting purposes, but he had a great time. 😂😂😂🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽

Pizza, u-pick flowers, tasty drinks AND live music? Yes please. Sign me up.

Bent Ladder Cider and Wine tonight at 6pm. Forro’s Pizza and Jon Garey will be here for sweet eats and tunes. Come on out. You can also pick some gorgeous sunflowers at Sip 'n Snip. Just visit the winery tasting room to pick up a jar ($12) or vase ($25) and scissors.

I love helping Chris haul bins. It’s a time consuming process. It can take an hour just to get four bins of apples out of the orchard.

You can’t leave them out all night or the critters will think you’re providing dinner.

It makes for a long night when you have to haul eight bins of apples.

We are not quite in the full swing of apple picking here…yet.

This is a bin of Zestar! I brought down yesterday. As soon as it comes down, we put it in the cooler building. And then out in the market for you all to enjoy! 🍎🍎🍎
