“Bouquets need to be $400 a piece!” 😆

That’s what I told my husband last night after a day of storm preparation. 🫩

From seed to flower, the amount of behind the scenes producing finished bouquets is inconceivable at times.

A huge shout out to Susie Gansemer Scott for sending some muscle 💪 to help get hoops and supports in place yesterday morning.

Last night my husband and I finished up by installing some wind and hail breaks.

We’ve done all we can and it’s in God’s hands now.

It was lovely to see some fireflies and ladybugs taking refuge in the flower beds in the evening.

I’m praying you are safe today and my feathered friends too. 🐤🪶🪺

Oooof! This week was a nail biter!😬

Over 4” of rain and crazy 💨winds.

I didn’t sleep well and yesterday morning I was afraid to even look at the flower field. The day prior, the rain and winds had pushed the plants sideways and I did my best to help them but wasn’t sure they’d recover.

With all the wetness the slugs came out to the buffet 🐌 and munched on a bunch of leaves.

Some native plants that may need to be removed but nothing critical.

I’ll need to re-seed some areas that washed away, again! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Amazingly, I think everything will bounce back. PTL 🙌

Our farm stand (The Titmouse Flower House) blew over but the damage is minimal.

Thankful for my cheerful helpers this morning!

I struggle with asking for help so deciding to hire someone this season was a big deal. It’s been a lot of time and expense to get set up with insurance etc.

I’m still figuring it all out, but I’m so grateful for my friends offering up their kids to help me in my time of need. 💛

👀 I get it. You might be curious about our flower farm here in Dunlap.

BUT we are not open to the public on a regular basis.

Mid-late July our farm stand will be open on Fridays and Saturdays.

You’ll be able to pop by and pick up flowers then. 💐

We’ll also have you-pick flower events later this summer that I’ll announce ahead of time if you’d like to visit us.

You-pick pumpkins will open in the fall on scheduled days.

Until then, the farm is our home so even if the gate is open that doesn’t mean we are open for visitors popping by out of curiosity. We kindly ask you to respect our private property and privacy.

If you have questions about the farm please message us and we’re happy to answer them!

I am Wonder Woman 🌟🤩❤️🤍💙

It’s always fun putting up hoops and netting by myself but I got the mum bed completely weeded and ready for the season. 💪

I’m freaking tired but everything is looking beautiful right now.

The milkweed is glowing a beautiful orange today.

Now we just need some rain.

As a small-scale flower farmer I have the privilege of getting to know and spoil you.

And you get to know where your flowers come from and who’s growing them.

When you support our family farm you’re not just buying locally grown flowers that are grown with love and care.

You’re brightening your day or someone else’s. You’re having fun with friends and family.

You’re supporting a local business that cares for nature and works with it, not against it.

💪Keeping a farm running is expensive and physically demanding.

So when you buy our flowers and pumpkins, or come to a workshop you help us pay for fun things like:

🏎️ Who was at the race yesterday?🏁

How did your favorite driver do?

🌎 It’s a small world. 🌎

Saturday night after dinner in downtown Indianapolis, we ran into a couple of our pumpkin customers on the way back to our car.

“Hey, you’re the pumpkin lady!” She said.

It warms my heart that people refer to me as “the flower lady” or the “pumpkin lady”.

I love you all so much! Thanks for being here with me and don’t forget to make your reservation in our summer Flower Club. Reservations close Saturday May 30th at midnight.

What is “Flower Club”?

If you joined us for “Tulip Club” it’s similar.

Summer club is 6 weeks of beautiful mixed bouquets of flowers grown here on our farm in Dunlap.

You’ll get our beautiful flowers every other week. That means two fresh bouquets a month to make your house feel like home.

Flower club members receive the premium cuts from our flower field and bigger bouquets compared to our farm stand bunches.

No rushing to the farm stand. Guaranteed fresh flowers grown on our farm in Dunlap.

You may choose to pick up on our farm or have them delivered…straight from my hands to yours!

“When does it start?”

July sometime. It’s weather dependent. I’ll notify you when Flower Club will be starting and you’ll get to pick your delivery or pick up window.

“What if I’m out of town?”

Don’t worry! You may reschedule for another week or gift them to a friend if you like.

“Why do I need to order now?”

Pre-ordering your bouquets guarantees fresh flowers in your home all summer long. It helps me (farmer Erica) plan for how much seeding and planting to do through the season.

Flowers take time and some need to be planted more than once a season so I need to know now. 😉

“What if I want more than one bouquet at a time?”

If you want to pick up more than one at a time just let me know ahead of time. Your 6 bouquets can be spread out over the season or picked up in multiples at one time.
