Around 6:15 pm these two still unnamed silly bird brains were perched atop the soon to be replaced gate to Tilly and Dilly’s “playground.”sunsethillfarm. Hi ’m This meant I had to carry them to their coop to tuck them in for the night. I picked her up first and she complained the whole way back to the coop. When I picked him up, he would have none of it and flapped his wings so hard that I had to let go of him. Great, that meant I had to catch him again.
Before long they were together in their coop enjoying their dinner for two.

The chill in the air seems to be here to stay, and we have delicious soups and beef stew to warm you up.
Beef stew ideas - serve it piping hot over a baked potato, or make it into a cottage pie by putting it into a casserole dish and top with mashed potato to be baked in the oven. Yum!
We are a mere 3 minutes from the north end of the Wiscasset Bridge/Rt. 1.

If you could hear the crew at meal time, you might think they are starved to death. That is a fallacy. Here are midday snacks today to prove my case-the bowl on the left is for the birds, the bowl on the right is for the piggy sisters.
Rusty had cut up apples in his lunch. The goats and Blossom prefer branches with leaves for their snack time treats.
They all live the life of Reilly here, whoever Reilly is.

As I sat on a rock near Tilly and Dilly’s playground to look on line (on my phone) at ideas for a replacement gate, these two knuckleheads decided to check out what I was doing… It’s like having toddlers, they follow me everywhere, I bet they would follow me into the bathroom if given the chance.

If Jackson follows you into the farmstand, please make sure he follows you out. This request also applies to chickens, turkeys, Nelly, The Duck and Pollyanna The Goose.
The goats, pigs, cow, and horse would probably do the same if given the chance.

You turkey! That’s not real!
I have let them out to free range with the rest of the birds twice, now being the second time. They followed me all the way to the farmstand when I was restocking soup! I thought birds imprinted only when they were tiny, I guess not, these two think I am their mother. At least they know I am their protector and they are safe with me.
We still haven’t chosen names yet, I’m planning to read the names aloud to them to see how they feel about the suggestions. For now, I’m going to clean their coops and wash their windows. Hope you all out there have a beautiful day, and I hope it involves animal love.
