Meet the Butterfield.
Grown in Casco Bay near Yarmouth, Maine, these oysters spend their days among the sea grasses between Little Moshier and Moshier Islands, where cold, clean water helps shape their flavor.
The result is a plump oyster with a balanced medium brine and a bright finish that lingers just long enough.
Available throughout June while supplies last.

No two weeks look exactly the same. So chefs, if you like having options on your raw bar, we can help.
We carry a rotating mix of 14–20 Maine oysters at any given time, with sizes ranging from 2.5 to 8 inches depending on the varietal.
What’s available shifts throughout the season, and offerings are updated on the first of each month.
Some come and go quickly. Others stick around a little longer.

Paddle for a Purpose is back on the Damariscotta River, June 13.
A 3-mile paddle with the tide, starting here at the farm … followed by an afternoon of oysters, food, and live music.
It’s a good day on the water, supporting the work of Hearty Roots and the experiences they create for local young people.
You can paddle, or just come for the afternoon.

Start in Portland. Grab coffee, then head north along Route 1.
Stop at Wolfe’s Neck State Park for a walk by the water.
Swing through Freeport, then continue up through Brunswick.
If you have time, detour to … it’s worth it.
Then make your way to Edgecomb.

You don’t need much.
A hot grill.
Butter, definitely garlic… maybe some parmesan.
Give them a few minutes, until the liquid starts to bubble and the edges curl.
