Sometimes we’re reminded to slow down and truly appreciate what the Good Lord has provided for us.
This weekend was busy. The show pens needed cleaned, the barn needed a little TLC, rams needed pulled out, aisles needed cleaned, and honestly, I could think of a million other things that still needed done.
In the middle of it all, I happened to look out of the barn and saw the ewes peacefully grazing, the birds chirping, and the sun shining. For a moment, everything else faded away, and I couldn’t help but realize just how fortunate we are to live this lifestyle.
It’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind and focus on the next chore, the next project, or the next goal. But sometimes the greatest blessings are the ones we’ve grown so used to seeing every day.
Folks, don’t take this life too seriously. Take a minute to look around, soak it all in, and thank the Good Lord for the opportunities and blessings He’s placed in front of you. The chores will still be there tomorrow, but moments like these are what make this life so special!
