Putting some feelers out there. I’ve got two ewe lambs up for consideration. One registerable Hampshire and one BFX ewe. Willing to sell together as a pair! Hoping to grab some pictures of them this weekend! See their information down below. Shoot Ben a message at 419-569-9918 for more information!

Winter ewe lamb (crossbred)
DOB: 11/29/25
Gator Bait x Peter Pan
*Note: This ewe is a maternal half-sib to our Backseat Driver daughter, who I think really highly of!

Fall ewe lamb, almost a yearling (registerable Hamp)
DOB: 10/08/2025
Fast Pitch x Mr. Miyagi
*Note: The dam’s side goes back to an old ram we owned back in 2022 that is backed by some really good Wheaton genetics!

*I have not DNA tested either of these females, but based on their genetics, if I’d have to guess, the crossbred ewe would be FD+, and the Hampshire ewe would be FF.

🐑 QUICK TIP | MINERAL MATTERS! 🧂

One thing we like to prioritize here at Wagner HD Livestock is free-choice mineral, especially before and during breeding and throughout gestation!

Why? Because our ewes are doing a lot of work behind the scenes to establish and maintain pregnancy, and supplying a loose high-quality free choice mineral will help them do just that! Minerals play an important role in reproduction, placental development, fetal growth, immunity, and overall ewe health. Starting that pregnancy off right can make a BIG difference down the road.

Mineral can be hard to keep protected from the elements, and feeders can get expensive. But here’s the kicker… your feeder doesn’t have to be expensive or fancy!

Ours is simply a PVC setup that lets the ewes come and go as they please while helping keep their mineral clean, dry, and protected.

Keep it fresh, clean, dry, and available! Sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. 🐑💪

What’s one thing you prioritize in your flock?

I listened to a podcast last night that really got me reflecting on sin and the fact that we are all sinners.

The preacher talked about how Jesus intentionally befriended sinners, including tax collectors and those who were looked down upon by society. Jesus knew exactly why He came. He knew He would ultimately give His life as the perfect sacrifice to pay the price for the sins of people like you and me.

The truth is, none of us are worthy of what Jesus did for us. We have all sinned against God, and we are all sinners at heart. Yet, despite our sin, Jesus still chose to love us, pursue us, and make a way for us to have a relationship with God.

So if you need a reminder today, remember this: You are loved. Jesus paid for your sins because He wants a relationship with you.

We don’t have to clean ourselves up before coming to Him. We simply need to turn to Him.

God bless you all, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend! ❤️

It might be hot outside but it’s getting chilly here because Freezer Burn has been putting in the work! Excited to see what this young pup can do with our ewe base! ❄️ ⛄️

With the conclusion of our state fair I think it’s time to introduce one of our lead sires this year!

❄️ FREEZER BURN ❄️

Okay im a sucker for a good white sheep especially a reg. Dorset so this one has me really excited! About a year ago, I reached out to Chad and Kenzie with Purple Haven Farm, looking for a ram that would complement my Dorset ewe base while still being trendy in the show ring. They definitely didn’t disappoint.

Chad sent me pictures of this guy as a weanling, and I knew right away he needed a spot in the Wagner HD Livestock stud battery.

We’re chomping at the bit to see his first lamb crop hit the ground! We think Freezer Burn brings a moderate, functional frame with a profile that’s dialed in where others can come up short. He’s packed with massive leg and hip, incredible breed character, and truly offers the complete package. We think he’ll sire some awfully competitive Dorset sheep and, if it’s your cup of tea, some really neat WFX as well!

❄️Stay cool out there! Plenty more to come from FREEZER BURN. ❄️
