Resting upon the shore sits a beer so fresh, so dank, and so indiscreetly loaded with Strata hops you may feel inclined to trade in the board for a beach chair and unwind in the California sunshine as you sip on the can in your hand.

PACIFIC PRISM IPA Tarantula Hill Brewing Co. collab
Style: West Coast IPA
ABV: 6.5%
Hops: Simcoe, Nelson Bliss, Motueka, Mosaic
Available now in the taproom and through Sunset Distributing Company

We paired up with Derek and Mike of Tarantula Hill to craft this West Coast IPA that leans heavily into Simcoe and Nelson Bliss with a kiss of Motueka and Mosaic. The lot of Nelson was created using Freestyle Hop’s (New Zealand) “Bliss” process, which blends early and late picked Nelson to allow the blend to express the full spectrum of what Nelson has to offer. We’re stoked on this hop! This beer drinks very smooth and easy, and it’s a great example of a more new-school version of WC IPA.

Tasting Notes:
The beer is light gold with glossy white foam. Its flavor is very juicy and fruit forward with citrus, papaya and passionfruit, pink starburst. As the beer warms, sweet breads and dank aromas come forward. Bitterness is reserved; sweet malt is present on the palate until the beer dries, leaving a lingering, mild grassy bitterness.
