Today at The Bar King, we do arts and crafts! Weaving grass for chukar shelters. These A Frames go in the flight pen and provide shade, shelter, and protection. Just because the hawks can’t get to them through the net doesn’t mean the chukar know that!

Hank and H***h are loving their stay at Pipestar Kennels, LLC! If in the Missoula area, be sure to shoot Mr Rice a message and go check out their new facility and training grounds! We have been training with Mr Rice for a few years now and couldn’t be more excited for him and his partners!

Day 4, we drove the Lolo Pass into Montana. Skiing in May is a thing here 🤯. Made it to , dropped the dogs and got to check out the showroom. 2 are staying with PSK for some UT training, and One just staying for some fun work for the week and will head south with us… Baxter gets to have Mom and Dad all to himself for the week and he almost doesn’t know what to do with himself. Side note: Baxter has spent the most time in Montana for any Dezert Rebelz dog. He was with me for a month a few years ago and did his NA with Sharptail Chapter. That dog is his Pops’ pup and LOVES Montana just like Mac.

On day 2 we adventured to our old stomping grounds. Through Centeral Cali into Nevada (where we truly thought we would end up, near Tahoe in Minden Valley), past my 2nd fav lake in the west an on to layover at Winnemucca. Our first time without Lily, horses, or competing in SSIR… weird for both Jason and I. Our lives have changed so much but the rodeo remains a central part of our lives… utilizing the relationships and experiences we gained and still visiting these rodeo grounds on our way through. We enjoyed so many 4th of July’s here. And of course had to make a stop at Big R….. got out a tad late but needed the extra sleep time this morning. That 2am arrival in SLO hurt yesterday 🤣. Where do you guys think we are headed next?

Summer adventures of the Bar King Crew….. not rolling down the A1A but we are cruisin up the PCH! Foggy this morning but that is the Pacific Ocean behind J. Stay tuned to see where all we go this run! Checking off another state neither of us have been to! Also huge shout out to for guiding us through LA. I never ever ever could live there. 🤣

A few folks have asked how they can contribute to helping these rescue bird dogs so we set up an account. We are NOT a 501-c3. We do all the rescue/rehoming/bird dog retirement and hospice all on our dime on our time. Jason makes cannonball 15 hour drives to pick up dogs at the drop of a hat. Vet care, snake avoidance training , and birds used comes out of our pockets. Supplies needed, food, grooming supplies, all the things, we always find a way… but, if you’d like to help provide some of these much needed things, we sure would be thrilled to have any help!
