My Grandfather Cosimo Di Fiore opened his bread bakery on Sullivan St in Greenwich Village New York City back in 1904. John's of Bleeker St., which is right around the corner, is considered to be the first commercial pizzeria in the U.S. (1904 also), whereas The Di Fiore Bakery is accredited with selling the first Sicilian Pizzas in the U.S. We're proud to carry on the tradition and offer Sicilian Pizza both by the slice and by the whole pie.
