We’ve been anxiously checking the weather all week, and while it looks like we might need some long underwear, at least it won’t be raining! What kind of Mainer lets a little cold get in their way of a fun time?? Certainly not you!

It’s been a busy weekend here at Waffle ME headquarters. After our Saturday event, we headed to our nephew’s birthday party where I made my the cake. He requested a Biscoff theme (hence the waffle special on Saturday). I put Biscoff into the batter and the buttercream. Then between the layers I put melted Biscoff and crumbled cookies. Around the base are Biscoff cookie truffles coated in white chocolate.

Then, today we went to our friend’s daughter’s first birthday party. It was a “Silly Goose” theme and I made the cupcakes, smash cake, and royal icing cookies. I’ve been teaching myself how to decorate with royal icing in the winter. These were a fun challenge for someone that is not at all naturally artistic.

I love bringing people joy with food. My next chance to feed all of you will be at Ghostport in Bucksport on October 17th! See you then!

In honor of our nephew’s birthday tomorrow, we are offering a special waffle featuring his requested birthday cake this year - Biscoff! The waffle will feature a cookie butter base, cookie crumble, homemade whipped cream and a Biscoff on top for $8.50. Ask for the “It’s Your Party!” Tomorrow only at the Sullivan Fall Fest from 10am - 4pm.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out today! And thanks for being so patient as we hurried to get set up after the Rotary cleared off from the pancake breakfast.

Believe it or not, there are only THREE more chances to get a waffle this season!! This coming Saturday is a new event for us, but it looks like they have a lot of fun stuff planned for kids. Let’s hope the weather holds out for all three dates!
