Bill's Corner #6: We are very excited for September and the return of some of our favorite releases of the year.
On September 19th, the first official day of Oktoberfest, we’ll be releasing Patience, our Märzenbier made with 100% German malt and hops. Patience has been patiently lagering away and will finally be ready to pour.
Oktoberfest will run from September 19th through October 4th, which also happens to be Light Years Fermentation’s two year anniversary and the final official day of Oktoberfest.
Throughout those two weeks, we’ll be tapping some very special kegs we’ve lined up for the occasion, along with the return of a few Light Years favorites:
You Enjoy My Fest — our Festbier made with 100% European malt and hops.
Marzski — our Märzen/Grodziskie hybrid brewed with oak-smoked wheat.
Munich Mule — our Oktoberfest Pale Ale, making its annual return.
Clone 7 will also be released this month. For this batch, we used fresh whole-cone hops picked right up the road and added them to the beer just hours after harvest. We’re really excited to see what they bring to one of our favorite beers.
We’ll also be reaching into the foeder throughout the month. Lucy, Otto, and Faithful will all make their return after spending time conditioning in oak.
And, of course, we have some other surprises planned along the way, as well as a great lineup of live music to take us through Oktoberfest and our anniversary weekend:
9/18 — Grateful Upstate Duo: Nate Calzetoni & Paul Baroli Jr
9/24 — Ultra Vibe
9/25 — Grateful Upstate Toodeloo
9/26 — Honker
10/2 — DJ Boogie aka Jason Smith
10/3 — The Krumbs
10/4 — Paul Baroli & Dan Galvano from Steal Your Face & Kingfish
September is going to be a fun one. We can’t wait to celebrate Oktoberfest, the changing of the seasons, and two years of Light Years with all of you ⚡️🍻
Peace,
Bill
