I will be at the Escanaba Farmers Market tomorrow with goat milk soaps, bubble bath, a couple more fragrances of lotion bars, chicken and quail eggs, apple c***r mix, and vanilla sugar.

I will not be at the market this weekend. Dave and I are going to visit our youngest and help her celebrate her 21st birthday.

New things are coming (or in some cases coming back). Loofah bars and lotion bars specifically. I was hoping to have more lotion bars for tomorrow however things have been chaotic.

Unfortunately something came up and we won't be at the farmers market today. However the farmstand opens at noon and will be stocked with quail eggs and a dozen chicken eggs as well as soaps.

If we've learned nothing else from having goats we have learned this they constantly look for ways to hurt themselves. Earlier this year one of our herd sires cut his left front leg down to the bone. Completely recovered and still no clue how he did it. Now last week he came up lame on his right front. We got him pain meds and scheduled an appointment with our vet. He broke his leg. Now as scary as that sounds they believe he'll make a full recovery. We moved some goats around and put him in a different area so his buddies couldn't make it worse. The leg is stable and the course of action is what we've been doing pain management. Due to the leg being stable, the displacement being minor and it being breeding season (iykyk) his leg is not going in a splint. Unfortunately for him his breeding season is over before it began. I'm so grateful that its just a year off and he'll be ready for next breeding season.

Herd queen Happy says it's fresh egg Fri-yay today. Today only at the farmstand open 10am to 7pm quail eggs $1 a dozen.

The quail have been working overtime and we have an abundance of eggs.

Easiest way to find us is to look for the Berean Baptist Church in Escanaba (on 18th Road). Right across from there you'll see a sign for Yooper Farmhouse follow the signs down and when the road becomes a T you'll see a white vinyl fence (that's us).

Some of you know about the love/hate thing these 2 have. It started with Kat's last baby (3 years ago) Dave held her collar so I could assist (probably one of the roughest deliveries we've had) and she still blames him. She's always up in his business, hackles raised, pulling at his clothes, stealing tools if he's working out there.

Anyway Dave did evening chores Wednesday night for me and it looks like they're best friends now.
