We have some pretty good guys working in our redemption center. ❤️

Customers donate returnables to us all the time. Sometimes they already know which local organization they want the money to go to, and sometimes they **spin our donation wheel** and let the wheel choose from the many local organizations we collect for.

Every once in a while, a customer decides to give their returnables directly to the guys working out back instead.

This time, someone gave our redemption crew **11 bags of returnables to keep for themselves.**

But the guys decided to pay it forward.

Rather than keeping the money, **they spun the donation wheel themselves** — and it landed on **Literacy Volunteers of Franklin & Somerset Counties!**

So **the money from all 11 bags -$52.50- will go to Literacy Volunteers.**

We're proud of these guys. This isn't the first time they've taken something that was given directly to them and chosen to put it right back into the community.

A generous customer started it. Our redemption crew kept it going. And the wheel decided where it went. ❤️

**Congratulations, Literacy Volunteers — this one's from the boys out back!**

The mission of Literacy Volunteers of Franklin and Somerset Counties is to empower adults through learner-based tutoring in reading, writing, math, and technology and to promote literacy in our community.

Some people become part of the history of a place without ever actually working there.

Behind the wheel is Rod, our longtime delivery driver from what was Federal Distributors, now Valley Distributors. Rod delivered to Ron’s Market for many, many years — going all the way back to when our redemption center still had a dirt floor! And alongside him is our good friend, the ever-handsome local published author, Doug Walrath.

Over all those years, we heard plenty about the Mustang Rod was working on. Well, he stopped in to visit and finally brought the infamous Mustang along to show us. After hearing about it for all those years, we finally got to see the finished product — and isn’t she a beauty!

We’ve been fortunate to build some great relationships with the delivery drivers who have come through our doors over the years. Many have told us how much they appreciate being treated with kindness, patience, and understanding here. We’ve always believed the people coming through our back door deserve the same respect as the people coming through the front.

Maybe the best compliment is that some of those drivers still come back to visit us years after retirement.

Thanks for stopping in, Rod — and for finally bringing that Mustang! It was great seeing you, and of course Doug too.

Welcome to Taste Of Maine Potato Chips, a brand-new Maine company making kettle-cooked potato chips right here in Limestone! 🌲🥔

Founded by Aroostook County native Bruce Sargent, Taste of Maine is bringing Maine-grown potatoes from local farms to the snack aisle. Their new production facility at the former Loring Air Force Base is now up and running, with five flavors already hitting Maine shelves: Classic Sea Salt, Salt & Vinegar, Salt & Pepper, Sour Cream & Onion, and Aroostook BBQ.

We’re excited to support a new Maine-made product. Come give them a try and taste a little more of Maine in your next snack! 💙🥔

Watching our neighbors face such a difficult season with hope, creativity, and determination has been truly inspiring.
Chaos Coffee Company has shown what resilience looks like, turning a temporary setback into a beautiful reminder that brighter days are ahead. If you're driving through Wilton, stop by and check out this incredible mural, snap a photo, and show them some love while they work toward reopening.
Small businesses are the heart of our communities, and they need us most during times like these. We're cheering you on, Chaos Coffee Company, and can't wait to see your doors open again. ❤️☕
Please consider giving their page a follow, sharing their post, and helping remind them just how much this community is behind them.

We love you, Chaos Coffee Company! ❤️☕ The Ron's Market family is rooting for you!

EVERY COMEBACK DESERVES A STATEMENT! 💥

Today, ours is about 50 feet long!

This mural isn’t just paint on plywood. It’s a reminder that while our doors are still closed, Chaos Coffee Company is very much alive!

We can’t thank enough for taking a temporary wall and turning it into something that makes us smile every time we drive by.

If you happen to drive past, we’d absolutely love it if you’d grab a photo with the mural, post it, and tag Chaos Coffee Company. We’d love to fill our feed with your pictures while we count down to reopening. We may not be able to welcome you inside just yet, but seeing your photos and your support means more to us than you know.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR STANDING BY US DURING THIS JOURNEY! We really can’t wait to welcome you all into our space again! ❤️☕️

Back River Gin is back at Rons!

After a devastating fire destroyed Sweetgrass Farm Winery & Distillery in Union in September 2025, Back River Gin temporarily disappeared from store shelves while the future of this beloved Maine-made spirit was uncertain. The fire destroyed the winery’s production facility, but through determination, collaboration, and a partnership with another Maine distillery, Back River Gin has made its way back. We are excited to have this award-winning Maine gin available once again at Ron’s Market and to celebrate the resilience behind every bottle. Welcome back!

Please drink responsibly.
