Hi farm friends! Today is the annual Maine Fiddlehead Festival! You can find our spring dug parsnips for sale at the Greater Franklin Food Council booth and you can find me at the Farmington Food Co-op tent talk at 12:15. The farm won't have a booth this year, because, well, to be perfectly honest, we missed the window this spring to plant early, early spring greens. Come out today to shop from your favorite farms and food vendors, come listen to some great music, bring the kids, and celebrate spring in western Maine!

Our shining star for the 2025 season was our SPINACH crop. We had great spring and fall spinach and we are hoping we can replicate our spinach success in 2026. It's the first day of spring! Our high tunnels have been planted for early spring crops, seedlings have been started, we have loads of spreadsheets ready with our planting plans, and we are still taking farm share sign ups! Have seeds to swap? Want to try your luck and see what excess might be available? Come hang with us at Root Down Market on Thursday at 5 pm!

THIS THURSDAY at 5 pm! Come to Root Down after hours for a casual community meetup to swap seeds and share your excess with your neighbors. It’s been a week of progress over here at the farm, especially at the new field! We got a well drilled on Monday, we received our official address from the town, and CMP came and staked out our power poles! Water and electricity are just on the horizon for us! Some farms are sprouting seeds this time of year and we seem to be germinating utilities 🌱 🥕
