Happy first day of the week! ❤️
If you are setting aside some of your grocery budget for food pantry donations or to personally help folks that could use a little extra help this season, this is a great week. You can stretch your budget further with some great deals.
Ingles has whole turkeys for .47 lb (limit 2) with a $35 order, the turkeys at Publix are .49 (limit 2).
Kroger has mix and match deals for .99 right up through Thanksgiving. The canned veggies are always cheaper at Aldi though, so I would get them there.
Just wanted to share ❤️

“and to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one.”
1 Thessalonians 4:11-12
but the whole chapter is a great reference 🤍

I finished harvesting the volunteer cayenne pepper plant Friday. I removed the rest of plant so we can get busy revamping the garden area.
I made pepper sauce (the green cayenne peppers and some apple cider vinegar) in a recycled hot sauce jar. 🌶️
I had enough of the red peppers to start another cayenne tincture. The quart jar on the left is the tincture I started on October 11th and the pint jar is the one I started last night.
The first tincture is taking on such a pretty color!

Just a quick heads up - I like to share good book finds from Amazon when I come across them.
Today, the Field Guide to Medicinal Wild Plants is on sale for Kindle for 4.99.
I also found “Go Forth and Forage” by Whitney Johnson for 4.99! Appalachian Forager She has such a fun Instagram channel and makes the best recipes.
We all usually have our phone on us so I find that Kindle books are an awesome supplement when I’m out and about.
