With a heavy heart we are posting to let everyone know who has followed us through this rescuing journey of Sally and Jack that it is time for Sally to live her best life in peace and pain free. We have given her the best we can these past months of having her but her time has come. She is scheduled to be euthanized on Tuesday making it the last few days with us. This is a very hard decision but it is best for her. We can't fix laminitis but we provided all the love and care we can offer her and got her the help she needed. She will always be my pink pony girl to me. I fell in love with her and in the past few months we have grown such a bond with eachother I will miss her so much. Thank you too all the vets who came out to help us with her and everyone who has supported us during this time.

We are so proud of Sally. She's making so much improvement. She made it out to the field all by herself. She covered 1 acre to get out here. She's done it before but she's getting faster at it day by day. 🥰 🐴🐎🦄

When Sally got her boots. It helps keep her even in the front. The boots are too help with every step she takes. She still limps when walking but she has gotten around so much easier since having these. 🥰🥰

It took me a moment to update about Sally because it broke my heart after leaving the vet. We took Sally in on the 2nd of June so she can get the care she needed. They were able to clean out her wound and remove the dead tissue off her v***a so new tissue can grow and they were able to remove the masses on her eyelids and cryo freeze them. We did trays on her front hooves and yes we knew she has severe laminitis. The vet suggested we get her some impact boots and to do cold water therapy on her legs. At this point because she is doing so good and improving day by day we know at some point we have to say goodbye but in the meantime she is living her best life until she can't anymore. I'm happy we are able to give her and Jack a second chance at life and I'm happy it is with us but it breaks my heart that in the end this will be a final decision of humanely euthanizing so she doesn't haveto suffer.
