Motherhood is a wild journey,and we are honored to play a small role in supporting the many mamas in our SHIFT community. You are doing an incredible job and it is an honor and privilege to share this journey and learn from you every day!

SHIFT Work + Play is thrilled to announce our first-ever 𝐌𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐬’ 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 & 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫, taking place Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 11 AM to 2 PM — and we’re now accepting exhibitor applications!

This is a free community event for parents and caregivers of children from birth through early elementary school. We’re building a curated lineup of Frederick County practitioners and organizations whose work supports families — especially mamas — in the early years.

We’re looking for local service providers in:

Mental health & therapy
Nutrition & food
Fitness & movement
Bodywork & massage
Sleep consulting
Parent coaching
Pediatric health
Early childhood education & development
Community & support groups

Exhibitor spaces are just $30 and include a table and chairs. Priority is given to Frederick County practitioners offering services and information — not product sales.

This 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲, I'm skipping the "rise and shine" energy and going with something more honest instead
Being a mom right now is hard — in ways that are specific, structural, and relentless. The childcare that costs more than a mortgage. The mental load that never fully clocks out. The weight of a world that handed you a to-do list and called it empowerment.

The weight you're feeling isn't imaginary, and it isn't a personal failing. It's the predictable result of a society that never fully built the systems mothers actually need.

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞 — 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐮𝐩.

When C&A Financial Services joined SHIFT in October 2023, their goal was clear: establish a strong presence in Frederick.

They moved into two private offices, hosted their ribbon cutting here, built local relationships, and steadily grew their footprint.

After two years at SHIFT, they transitioned into their own dedicated office suite just a few doors down in the same building. As they prepared for their move, they also evolved their brand to 𝐂&𝐀 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 & 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 — reflecting the expanded scope of their work.

This is what thoughtful growth looks like.
