Made with regular cotton yarn and Scrubology cotton yarn, it has a little extra scrubbing power built right in. It’s thick enough for everyday kitchen use, wiping, washing, scrubbing, and quick pot-holder moments when needed.

While trimming the juniper in my garden yesterday, I spotted this bright orange little thing tucked in the shrub and, at first, I thought it was a lost kid’s toy. 🧡

After axaminging it a bit more closely, I realized it was not in fact a toy. It was a tiny red eft that was just as stunned as I was by the fact that he rolled out of the hedge.

Red efts are the juvenile land stage of the Eastern newt, and that bright orange color is not just for show. It helps warn predators that they are toxic and not a great snack choice.

I carefully moved our little Farmstead friend out of the way and continued my gardening.

Finding little surprises like this is one of my favorite parts of working outside.

You never know who you’ll meet under the greenery.
