The first day of Van Beck Ranch farm camp was a success! We met all of our new animal friends, did morning chores, and explored different areas on the farm riding the big bikes. We jumped on the bounce pillow, played bazooka ball, played in the woods, and took train cart rides. We hunted for a cow medallion for a big part of the day to see which team would secure it to win treats.

We learned all about good bugs and bad bugs on the farm and what they do. We then created a bug house habitat from all recycled material. We made a book about the very hungry western caterpillar and how he drank too much milk in Minnesota.💕🥛🐛
We were surprised to receive a visit from two beautiful Stearns County dairy princesses, Ava Smith, and Isabella Shiffler. They read two books about farm to table and cows and made us homemade strawberry milkshakes. It definitely was a great day to be a Stearns County farm camp kid. Making the best summer memories on the farm. 🐄🐐🐑🐓
Thank you to our amazing staff and helpers who kept up with the energy level of some very excited kids today! 👏
