New Wine Drop!

Lavender Rosé - From the Alps de Haute region of Provence, France, this is a dry rosé with flavors of red berries and ripe peaches with subtle herbs and spices. Pair it with classic Provencal dishes like ratatouille, spicy Asian cuisine or even BBQ!

Memo Montepulciano d’Abruzzo - A vibrant red wine from the Abruzzo region of Italy, this wine has notes of black cherry, plum, and red fruit jam. A great addition to any pizza or pasta night!

Faaa Albariño - A white wine from Uruguay with notes of apricot, white peach, and lemon zest with a light minerality. Sip it by the pool or with your favorite salads or seafood combos!

Cheers!

Adolfo Hernandez, winemaker at Benovia and Monroy Wineries will be in the house on June 23 to discuss his Sonoma, California wines, his unique style of winemaking, and his fascinating career journey from molecular biologist to winemaker.

For several years Adolfo was the “behind the scenes” guy at several of California’s most award-winning wineries until he landed a job as Assistant Winemaker at Benovia Winery, a winery that’s renowned for it’s expressive Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. A few years ago he launched his own winery called Monroy which focuses more on premium Cabernet Sauvignon.

Fun fact: at the age of 7, Adolfo learned to make wine from his Guatemalan father; an enterprise that wasn’t entirely legal since they were living in Saudi Arabia!

Adolfo has been named by Wine Enthusiast as “one of the Latinx experts changing the face of American wine”, and by Sonoma Magazine as “one of 15 Sonoma winemakers you need to know.”

It's officially summertime, and June is a great month to be a wine lover in Georgetown!

To celebrate the return of the Farmers Market, we're opening at 10am on Saturdays this summer to make it easier to snag a bottle or three of your favorite vino while you're already downtown.

Our Backyard Pairing series continues on Tuesday, June 16 with Travis, our resident wine-pairing pro. For this class, we'll be pairing a selection of five wines with a few of summer's favorite pizzas from our friends at Chinkapin Brewing.

Tuesday, June 23 we welcome California winemaker Adolfo Hernandez into the shop to show off the latest Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Grenache releases from Benovia and Monroy, his two wineries. Pinot Noir lovers may recognize Benovia as one of the top Pinot producers in Sonoma, and Adolfo has been named by Wine Enthusiast as one of the Latinx experts changing the face of American Wine.

And finally, if you're one of the almost 70 people joining us on our 2027 Rhine River wine cruise, be sure to swing by Chinkapin Brewing (149 E. Main Street, Georgetown) on Monday, June 29 at 6pm for a casual meet & greet/info session with John, Arden and your fellow cruisers.

Cheers!
-John, Alicia & Cass
