You asked for it, so we’re rebooting our popular Around the World classes with a fresh lineup of wines from all across the globe!

Travis will be back in the shop for our fall Pinot Noir Around the World class! And as usual when Travis is in the house, it’s going to be a BLAST!

❓What: Pinot Noir Around the World with Travis Huber
💲How Much: $40 per person

Pinot Noir. Why, exactly, is this finicky little grape so captivating? Come find out! For this class we will taste our way through several expressions of Pinot Noir from different areas from around the world including: California, Oregon, France, Germany and Italy.

We’ll discuss vineyard and production techniques, that mysterious concept of “terroir,” and why their flavors are so different, even though they are made from the same grape.

Tickets are $40/person which includes a guided tasting of 5 wines. Pinot-friendly munchies and bottled water included. Advanced reservations are required!

Limited seats available. As always, we’ll have additional bottles from the tasting for sale that evening at 10% off the normal retail price.

Harvest is officially underway in France 🍁, and we’re celebrating with a fantastic lineup of wines handpicked by your “we survived a week of John’s driving in France” team of Bordeaux-lovers at The Wine Project! 🍷

*This is a pre-sale event, so you'll be the first to taste and secure your favorite bottles before they land in October!*

🍷 What: Our first ever Bordeaux Happy Hour!
💲 Cost: $10 (waived with 3-bottle order)

🇫🇷 Special Guest: Our friend Coralie Laurence, the French Ambassador for Monsieur Touton (one of our favorite Bordeaux importers) will be on hand to help us pour, tell stories about the producers and, talk about what makes each wine unique.

You’ll have the opportunity to taste a fantastic lineup of 12 wines - a mix of whites, reds, and Sauternes - all from France’s famed Bordeaux region. Plus a bonus Champagne just for fun! A few of these wines made an appearance in the shop last year and they sold out very quickly.

Love the wines? Most bottles will retail in the $15-25 range, and your $10 tasting fee will be waived with any 3-bottle order! This is a pre-sale event, and we expect the wines to arrive from France in mid-October for you to pick up.

If you’ve shopped with us for a while, you know how much we love Bordeaux around here! A year ago we had the opportunity to take a small group of customers to visit Bordeaux - and this is one of those events that trip made possible. We really hope you’ll join us! Thanks to Coralie, and our friend Robert at River City Distributing for helping us put this together on short notice!

Occasionally, everything just falls into place. Our new building passed inspection, and the powers that be in Frankfort issued our new licenses right on schedule. Which means we will officially open for business in our new location next Tuesday!

Our new address is: 155 E. Main Street, Georgetown - between Fava's Diner and Miss Behavin'.

Our Broadway location remains open until 7pm on Saturday. As always, we will have a few bottles open to taste, but our WineStations and furniture have already been moved so we are standing room only!

Our first event on Main Street is on Thursday, August 27. We'll be welcoming winery and vineyard manager Nikki Mustard from California's Pine Mountain Vineyards back into the shop. Pine Mountain is not an easy place to make wine, but Nikki is one of the best! It's her third visit to the shop and her tastings always sell out - so snag your tickets ASAP.

And don't worry - Travis hasn't gone anywhere! He will be back in September with another amazing wine class that you won't want to miss.

August Wine Club Pick-Up!

This month we are taking a wine tour of Santa Barbara, California! This is a unique area of the state, producing some really excellent wines. Check your email for more information on each bottle included in your club.

Part of the fun of being a wine club member is 1/2 off tastings! This month we’re extending the fun for TWO Saturdays! Come say good-bye to our shop on Broadway (August 8th), and (hopefully 🤞) raise a toast to our new location on Main Street on the August 15.

It is standing room only at our Broadway location (the furniture moved before the wine), but we hope to SEAT you soon! 😉

Been interested about our wine club wines but haven’t wanted to make the commitment? We’re extending our wine club benefits to everyone for two Saturdays only!

With any luck, we’ll have a final inspection from our ABC friends in Frankfort next week. Still on track for a mid-August re-opening.

The move has begun!

Due to licensing restraints, the furniture had to be moved into our new location first. So things may look a little different in our Broadway shop!

All of your favorite wines are still available to purchase, they’re just a bit lower to the ground in places. 🤣 And, we’re still here to help you find that perfect bottle.

We do have limited seating (folding chairs), so please excuse the disruption to your normal sit and sip while we get ourselves into the new location.

We can’t wait for you to see the new space!
