Dear ACBA Members,
We want to alert everyone to a scam email currently circulating that falsely claims to be from the Ayam Cemani Breeders Association or uses similar wording to appear official. The message is sent through Sendspace, includes a suspicious .zip file labeled “Mandatory_Compliance_Notice,” and references an email such as [email protected] — this is NOT an ACBA email address.
This email did not originate from the ACBA, and the file link included should not be opened under any circumstances.
Please be aware of the following:
• The ACBA does not send compliance notices, documents, or official files through Sendspace, .zip files, or any third-party file-hosting services.
• Scammers periodically scrape emails from the publicly listed Breeder Directory—this happens every few years, and we are seeing another wave now.
• Do not download attachments, click links, or reply to these emails.
• If you receive a message that seems suspicious, please forward it to the Board so we can document ongoing attempts.
Your caution helps keep our membership and breeders safe from phishing and malware attempts. Thank you for remaining vigilant and helping protect our community.
